I've been having tons of crashing problems since switch to new launcher. Sometimes as soon as the game loads but usually it will be 5-10 seconds after loading into the world.
I've found that repair never fixes anything. The patcher is not detecting corrupt files and the .PAZ files are constantly breaking now for some reason.
What I've had to do is open my LOG folder and find the most recent Client_ file and open it in notepad. Scroll to the very bottom and it will almost always have a line similar to "{"Date":"2021-02-27 09:35:39","ThreadId":"0x5C44","LogType":"00","LogLevel":"5","ErrorNo":"eErrNoErrorHappen","ErrorString":"Error!","Log":"패키지 압축해제시 오류 발생했습니다: e:/blackdesert/Paz/PAD03355.PAZ(e:/blackdesert/ui_texture/renewal/pcremaster/remaster_common_00.dds), (0/1048704)" }"
As you can see in red the last file it tried to load before crashing and gave an error. Go to my PAZ folder and delete this one I go ahead and delete the one before and after. Rerun the repair and see if it helps. Sometimes I have to do the process again with a new PAZ file but eventually I get in.
I've had to do this about a dozen or so times since we switched launchers. Prior to this I havent had issues. Almost anytime I close my game after getting it work a new file will corrupt.
I had similar issues with the old patcher early on due to doing no file checking while downloading so files constantly corrupted with patching. I think they finally changed their patcher to not be a connectionless file dump instead it did some level of connection oriented file checking as you downloaded.
Just wanted to tell you that you are not the only one with this problem. Can't login to my main character because of this. And have a ton of fail and error messages in my logfiles exactly like u have. Tried to repair that since january but still nothing :) Got my character transfered per ticket which solved that crashing for two days but its back again...
Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game? If it's cause corrupt files, it will fix it.
I have had this problem for a couple of years both on the old launcher and the new one. The new launcher is at least faster to do the rescan but the issue is continous frequenlty taking over a dozen attempts to get it to work. 90% of the time my issue is with one of 2 files either PAD00000.meta or PAD01148.paz.
Anyone hearing anything back on these issues? I'm having similar problems. Trying the scan function. Having to do this multiple times each night, and have uninstalled/ reinstalled likely a dozen times since the transfer. Still having issues pop up almost every time I launch, after 5 or 10 minutes of gameplay. Put in a ticket Saturday, but haven't heard anything back yet.
Hey Pearl Abyss:
Do you want us to spend money and play your game??? Address these corrupt file issues. Getting players into your game should be #1 priority. I am having the same issues and I'm tired of reinstalling a 35 gig game 983247209384908 times.
I'm no stranger to the game corrupting files, seemingly just from playing it. It's definitely prone to corruption.
However, I actually fixed this problem entirely by changing to a different kit of RAM. While bad RAM can and does silently kill your operating system and data in the background, BDO is very loud about receiving corrupt data. As it turns out, my RAM was just bad.
For those of you who 'temporarily' fix it by scanning files, have you tried running Memtest86 overnight to verify that it is not your RAM that's causing the problem?
done memetest and i am still haveing this problem and this didnt start till data transfer so thats ruled out also it found nonething worng to add

This is probably true because it started when i tried to o.c my ram. I just switched to stock settings again and will tell you tomorrow if it is the case.
EDIT: It is fixed now, the problem was my ram speed. Tried different things before such as deleting some files and complete reinstall. Game is stable and no errors. If i have any, i will edit the comment again.
Have you tried repairing your easyanticheat install from ProgramFiles(x86) ?
System File Checker to repair corrupted windows system files?
