Just downloaded the launcher and i have to download the whole game? am i doing something wrong?

Edit: i followed your directions and it still makes me download the game again, and for some annoying reason i cant pause the download unless i exit the launcher, making me redownload everything it had already downloaded.

Same problem here....

Being forced to RE-download the entire game.

Worse yet, it just completely deleted the original installation before starting.

NOT COOL!

Usually that happens if you didn't install the launcher into the folder your game was previously installed in.

You could try reinstalling the launcher and choose the correct folder, or rename your old folder to what it's expecting.

Tryed installing the launcher in the  same location  as well.  My old launcher was in Black Desert Online folder, but had no launcher folder. Hence I started the new launcher install in the BDO folder/game file.

It created a folder named it Black Desert, and proceeded to build an entire new game folder, inside of the orig game file Black Desert Online.

I'm sure I did something to cause it, but, in the end, I re-downloaded the launcher/game to another location, then deleted the old.

Well..

It deleted the old launcher to.

PA is making me download THEIR launcher.. a new one; as my old one stopped working as soon as this account transfer thing started.  In fact its not even installing a new launcer, its just trying to redownload the entire game dispite the fact that I pointed it to the original game direction thinking it would just verify the files, etc... but nope, it just automatically wipef out everything in that folder.

Yeah, you do need to install the new PA launcher, but when you run the installation file, it should ask you where you want to install it.  If you pick the correct folder (your existing BDO install folder), it's supposed to see the old files and only download a 1.9GB update.  No clue why it doesn't work for some people.

It did not work for me, it would not go into my old "Black Desert Online" Folder, but renaming it to "BlackDesert" worked and i could point it there, 2gb update.
