Hi
with kakao we could set affinity but when i try with the PA version i get a error saying i carnt do this anymore, is that due to the new cheat engine or is it something that can be worked around?
i have ryzen 7 2700x and before setting it to core 8,10,12,14 i wouldnt be using much cpu but due to not been able to set affinity and bdo not able to use the cores of a ryzen correctly my cpu usage is always 50-60%
Since Pearl Abyss took over the publishing, they've been using Easy Anti-Cheat instead of Xigncode3. EAC will not allow you to edit the priority and affinity for the BlackDeser64.exe process, but what you can do is use Process Lasso's process matching feature to change the priority and affinity of BlackDesertLauncher.exe which extends those settings to all "child" processes of the launcher, including BlackDesert64.
What you'll need:
1. Process Lasso
Step by step instructions to do so:
1. Open Process Lasso while BDO is not running.
2. At the top of the window, click Options, and then CPU.
3. Click on Configure persistent CPU affinities.
4. In the window that appears, type in "BlackDesertLauncher.exe" and select which CPU cores you want to be set for that process like you normally would, and finally click Add to list and then OK at the bottom of the window.
5. Run the launcher. The settings you set in Process Lasso will be applied.
You can do the same thing for priority, using Configure persistent CPU priorities. Type in the launcher executable, select the desired priority level from the list (recommended to be set to High or Normal), click Add to list and then OK.
It's worth noting that this should require that you relaunch the game every time you change those settings, since it applies to the launcher and not the game process itself. The game process merely inherets those settings from the launcher.
I recommend choosing your even-numbered cores just as stated in old guides as that seems to give the best result short of disabling SMT altogether, and setting priority to high may improve performance as well, or at least it did for me with my 3900X.
Bear in mind that if you use too few threads, you might get diminishing returns and there might be issues.
thank you so much for this ill have to do it right away ^^
