This is my 1st time switching to amd and experiencing alot of stutters while grinding and nws/rbfs it becomes really unplayable. I want to know if there anything that I need to do with this type of CPU. I do not have this type of issue with other games.

GPU: ZOTAC Trinity RTX 3080

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900x

Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VIII Hero

RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3600Mhz

https://www.reddit.com/r/blackdesertonline/comments/ilatgy/deep_guide_to_fix_stuttering_increase_fps_and/ there's an AMD section.it wont totally remove them tho just FYI as the issue is engrained in the engine itself https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/Community/Detail?topicNo=1199&topicType=27

Using Process Lasso:

1. Open Process Lasso while BDO is not running.

2. At the top of the window, click Options, and then CPU.

3. Click on Configure persistent CPU affinities.

4. In the window that appears, type in "BlackDesertLauncher.exe" and select which CPU cores you want to be set for that process like you normally would, and finally click Add to list and then OK at the bottom of the window.

5. Run the launcher. The settings you set in Process Lasso will be applied.

Do the same for consistent CPU priorities, setting the launcher priority to High.

I recommend using the 6 cores from your second chiplet, as BDO tends to dislike dual CCD CPUs like Ryzen 9 and TR. So, focus on cores 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, and 22. If you go with 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10, there's a common chance that you can drop more frames when something else other than the game is running and starts using any of those cores. (I have a 3900X) The other option is to disable SMT, but you can still gain frames by limiting the game from using cores outside of just a single chiplet because BDO's engine was never made to handle CPUs of this design; it predates it by several years.
