- Skills that normally have vulnerable frames (recovery animations) can be canceled at high fps, essentialy removing any intentional gaps the skills have.
- Combos that wouldn't normally be possible due to animation limits become available and provide massive damage boosts in both pve and pvp at high fps. (best example would be warrior)
- Servers cannot keep up with the sheer speed of animation canceling, which leads to massive desync issues (Berserker movement, warrior solar flare)
- Classes that do not have animation cancels struggle with the fact that some classes can pretty much chain skills in-between iframes, effectively letting them poke you to death.
- High FPS allows for the chaining of iframes without any vulnerable frames, the vulnerable frames might be there, but by the time a player appears on your screen out of an iframe, he/she/it is already midway into another iframe from the servers perspective. (sorc, tamer)
- It allows for players to effectively iframe out of grabs (recent patches fixed parts of this)
- Allows for significant advantages to macro users.
- One of the vulnerabilities being used by multiple exploits (Changing settings during grabs, lag switches, screenshot exploit)
- The problem gets worse each year due to significant increases in hardware processing power and driver optimizations.
- Your class will become useless - Can be fixed by adjust damage modifiers for skills, or adjust the animation speed, this has been done before.
- How will I hold Shift for iframes? - You'll use proper positioning and block, like mostly everyone else has to in order to survive.
- I paid 2000$ for my 3090, I deserve to have twice the animation speed - that's how it works now, doesn't mean that's how it Should work, and the developers already tried to address this once via the input cap, clearly indicates this is not intended.
- This will slow down the combat - This will allow users to play on graphics settings compatible with their hardware, at the moment everyone is switching to optimized mode and directly modifying driver settings for uncapped FPS to abuse this mechanic in order to stay at a competive level.
- Just buy a better PC - Technically impossible due to 0 supply.

I love for this issue to finally be address as well. I like playing in remastered since my PC can run it fine on 60 FPS but I know I'm gimping my self playing like this. Sadly though doubt this will ever be addressed an fixed one because PA hasn't done it yet since the 2 years that this was discovered to be a thing, 2 when they did try they majorly broke things an had to revert the fix cause they didn't know what they were doing, and three because it seems 80% of the playerbase doesn't seem to see the problem here. Literally someone made a post about this issue in suggested thread and people chewed him out said he was an idiot and that higher FPS doesn't affect player performance in combat. Why they said this when me an few others linked the exact same videos you did showing that it does is beyond me. But I can also say half of the people that disagreed with us were life skillers that have never touched PVP in their entire life. An that kinda just shows were BDO as a game is heading right now just a crappy PVE only game with lazy as fuck PVE content for moronic PVE only players that worship the ground PA walks on. Seems like ever game that starts out as a PVP game is always ruined by PVE only players wanting more PVE content in a PVP game. An it annoying if these PVE players want PVE only content than go play a PVE only game like PSO2, GW2, ESO, or that new Blue protocol game being made. Not BDO, Mortal Online, or Wurm Online.
Problem is that 144fps is pretty standard these days and thats also FPS count after which you arent getting any benefits. Difference between playing on 60 and 100fps is noticable but 100 vs 144 isnt and 144+ is just placebo. Another problem is old classes were designed that way. If you look at striker onwards, classes became a bit more "console friendly". Warrior, sorc, zerker, valk, tamer, ninja etc - those classes are cancels heavy compared to new ones and limiting them means either reworking them heavily or taking something off and giving them something back in returm. You cant limit everyone to 60fps for sake of "fair play". Someone with 10 years old notebook shouldnt be able to PVP on same level as someone with 3k worth PC. Same as someone with 100hp car shouldnt be able to win drag race against 400hp. Thats how it basically works in every game (even in FPS shooters). This kind of communism in gaming is not wanted and failed multiple times when developers tried to do that. Its not esport game. Game is not designed around stylized graphics offering 200+ fps to basically everyone with semi-decent pc. And be sure that developers of this game are developing classes and testing them on quite high end machines (they need them to make this game anyway).
Its not like they dont know about the issue, its not like they are ignoring it but fixing it is not as easy as you think. They tried, they failed. They should bring other classes to potential of older ones having 144fps in mind because thats industry is and will be industry standard.
I would totally agree with you if not for one thing. 144 FPS was pretty much impossible to obtain before remastered, the games optimization was a wreck, not to mention the hardware, so saying that they were created with such FPS in mind is just your self defense mechanism.
The reality is that they can easily just tweak skills speed, as they have already done with warrior skills, quite a few times.
P.S. If anything you said were true, people wouldn't run legacy drivers for uncapped FPS. No benefit after 144 after all
don't play this game
pvp is a joke to the devs
they also don't care about NA
trash developer
They don't care about an region or platform this game is on. Simple put they just don't care about anything but making money. Some how they thought of a great idea an named it BDO, but since release this game has seen little to almost no improvement in it core mechanics over the past 5 years. Nearly every update revolves around increasing profit an very rarely actually improves the game experience for it playerbase. As it stands mechanic like FPS=DPS have been issues in the game for years. They know about it tried to fix it but failed an are to lazy to try again.
An simple put for all the people saying this isn't an issues that we should just all play on the lowest settings what your response to console players who are locked on remastered settings an can only average 30-60 FPS. FPS depend classes are physically impossible to play competitively on console so why is it that it ok to balance the game for one platform an not the other? This a choose PA made to increase profits for BDO but technical issues like this that they refuse to fix gimp those player's experience thus make playing the game frustrating for them. So for what other reason was BDO brought to the console beside increasing profits (that this company clearly doesn't need since it managed to buy out eve online a 20 year old MMORPG that been going strong for 20 years, an they have enough money to be developing 4 new games at one time.). Simple put zero thought beside "how can we make big moneyz" into porting this game to console an zero thought has gone into fixing the technical issues that console player's experience that PC player don't. Because we can mess with ini. files we can change our graphic to low we can buy better PC parts but console player can't do any of that.
