Not sure why the Dev's thought it was smart to require 10 of these per Obsidian Upgrade lol.  Very soon these weapons will be selling at 400mil at their Base levels..

Answer: I see it as the effort to have more players going into combat against the world boss monsters in hope of the rng box of boss gear. If you want basic boss gear, you have to get it yourself?

Just to create a basic full blackstar set -armor-helm, boots, gloves, chest, and two weapons, you have to melt down 18 pieces of basic boss gear. 

Creating then advancing that blackstar set, is why market is empty.

People rather pay the silver for gear of high rank then attempt the many and constant failures of creating it.

Enchanted boss gear gives more silver when sold then basic gear.

Just attend more world boss spawns.  I have 40 boss boxes in storage, waiting to sell a few when sage awakening comes out.

OP is right, how dare devs create more incentive for players to attend world bosses then rely on market mechanics for regulation.

I got an alt on Kzarka/Karanda/Nouver/Vell/Kutum/Offin, and try to attend when those when I'm online.  So far i've only gotten less than 20 weapons, and that's from 2016.   

Not everyone plays 24/7.

PA needs to make it so melting these weapons would result in 2-3 concentrated auras instead of just 1.  I have like almost 10 bil silver just on preorders on random weapons and it's been 3 days and still have yet to win a weapon lol.

They could also let ppl register this on the MP.  I mean you could buy Fallen God Armor from the MP but not concentrated boss aura? lol.

One of the few things that this game does in perfection is reusing old items. 

After 5 years all those kzarka drops .... mainhands should be already at 5 mill base price but devs really do know a way to reuse them and make people go after boss kills more often.

I remember "my day". One day = 3 boxes. And that's not all. 10 belongings in one week!

On the other hand ... 3 weeks without a single box or belongings.

So self-gathering with empty mp may not be feasible.

Ya an all those Liverto weapons, and lemoria armors too, oh an shadow rings, witch earrings, red coral earrings, Garnmoth scales, Kagtum ring of submission, rainbow coral rings, grunil armor, Yuri weapons. Wait hmm why are there thousands of these posted at min price? 🤔 Almost as if PA forgot they existed despite the fact at some point in the game they were BIS items.
