Can anyone explain to me why the tag system exists? Like what is it's purpose? I'm the type of player who enjoys playing mainly one character. I don't like swapping to alts constantly or having my skills be spread across multiple characters. I thought the tag system would be great to bring an alt around with my main. I could copy my main's gear over so I wouldn't have to get two sets of gear and everything would be great. NO. I can't do anything life skill related because of the restrictions on trade goods. I can't cook, I can't fish, I can't really gather or grind without thowing away any trade goods I had picked up. I can't even stick them in a bank to move them to a non tagged alt.
I don't understand it. I can't think up any reason how someone could exploit the tag feature with trade goods. Can anyone think of a reason for it to be so restrictive? It's cool they added the gear copy but with it being so restrictive in what you can do while tagged, the feature is completely useless and a waste of a lot of silver. Would be nice if they got rid of the retarded restrictions.

Sorry to say but you clearly didn't put more than a couple seconds of thought into why trade goods are not allowed for tagged characters. If it was allowed you could overload a tagged character with trade goods until you pretty much can't even move with how much weight is on them. Then just swapped to the other tagged character who doesnt have all that weight and run/ride all the way to whatever trader and swap back to sell the ridiculous amount of trade goods to them for max profits.
The TAG system IS for people who like playing more than one toon.
As for the trade goods restriction you obviously don't trade.
Tag system 1 grinder and 1 paper. Not all classes are equal.
I use the tag system personally for a PVE'r and a PVP'r. I like striker's pve but enjoy ninja's pvp.
The tag system is full of benefits an frustrating mechanic. It nice to have another geared toon to swap too cause I'm the type of player that will play multiple class in a game not just one. It also nice to have that geared player at the exact same spot my main too is when I switch to it.
But the benefits of the tag system don't out weight the many negatives. Like why can't I switch to my tagged alt when in the ocean or dersert from my main? Why do I need to switch to a non tagged alt to than switch to my tagged alt in these areas? Why can't I turn in any trade good? Fish, imperials, crates, coins, etc why? Why does my active mount not share between my tagged characters? Why is it if I want to copy one item (say if I bought an upgrade off the MP) my only option is to uncopy all my gear an spend the 7B again to copy my gear or spend 10 dollars on a cash shop item? Why can't I just uncopy a single item? Why is it uncopy everything or nothing? Why can't you copy or make a copy of Shai's talent awakening item?
Why are these mechanics designed this way there pointless frustrating for no reason an one of the solutions to one of these issues is a cash shop item. How is it legal to create an artificial problem for people than sell the solution to the problem as well? It like selling someone a car with a broken key but than offering to make and sell them a new key for the car they just bought.

7B again? Pen BS is 2.8b, (x2) for 4.8b, and then Pen Offhand is 450m. Yeah 5.3b might be a little expensive, but it's not 7b. Hmm, way to Lie about something yet again.
Moving on.
The reason Trade items can not be utilized is because of an exploit people used when tagging was first introduced, by which a player would get Trade items on their wagon or horse and rather than risking losing the items to bandits or PKs, they would swap to their tagged character, get on their horse and ride to Shakatu. They would then ride a camel to shrine of serenity or illia Oasis, Swap characters (note the desert restriction) get the Trade buff, hop back on their horse/wagon (because the wagon/horse stays under you when tagged), swap back to the character not carrying the trade items and finish the Journey to Valencia City, where they would sell the Trade goods with the main again. Basically people were doing things that while "allowed" PA didn't like.
Honestly not being able to tag a single item, after a full tag is done is stupid, and should be fixed.
As for the last part about the mount, they were supposed to copy the mount, that was initially there. There was something about if you coppied the mount either you couldn't put trash in the mount's inventory, and other shit so they took the option out. As I mentioned earlier, the easiest thing to do is just Put a shitty T1 horse on one of the 2 characters and make sure that character is sitting on the horse when you swap, so you can have a horse when you swap. Then you can use your main horse to travel with. Just have to make sure you always log off while sitting on your horse.
No the systems are not pointless, they are however relics to deter cheating, or they have functionality that may not be apparent without digging into the situation.

IMO what they should have done was lock the tagged character from being able to be logged in if it's partner had a trade good. They could easily have added a popup about it explaining why you can't access that Character. The reason the tradegood thing exists is because people found ways to exploit tagging and Trade items a while back while Trading was actually good money, now at most it's 20m Silver Per Hour. Problem is when this exploit was going on 5m silver per hour was considered huge.

It also takes into account Caphra lvl but I wouldn't expect a gearlet like you to know this. But it cool dismiss my post with your spiteful biasum right after I pointed out why a conversation with you is pointless in another thread for this exact reason lol. Good meme post as always forum meme.
