New Additions and Improvements
Following last week's update, we are continuing balance adjustments with the objective of narrowing the PvE damage gap between classes.
This week, we focused on Corsair Succession and Awakening, as well as Sage Succession, whose damage output was somewhat low when also considering factors such as subjugation difficulty and stability. We will continue to roll out PvE balance adjustments moving forward, and we are also preparing structural improvements for certain classes once the Arena of Solare regular season comes to an end.

We are also closely monitoring the results of the balance changes applied to the live server last week. In this process, we confirmed that some classes are performing beyond the intended range, even when accounting for the factors considered at the time of adjustment. For these classes, we are preparing additional adjustments so they can maintain the intended level of performance, and we will share more details as soon as they are ready.

We will continue doing our best to provide a better PvE balance environment. Thank you.

Blue Battlefield - DMG Dealt to Forts Adjusted by Ship Type

As the end time for each fort in the Blue Battlefield approaches, multiple guilds and alliances tend to focus their cannon fire on the forts. This often causes the occupying guild to change multiple times within a short period. While this can keep the excitement of victory alive until the very end, it left something to be desired in terms of the enjoyment that comes from planning and executing strategies.
To address this, we have adjusted the durability of Blue Battlefield forts so they can withstand bombardment a bit longer, while also adjusting the damage ships deal to them.
  • Increased the durability of the forts in Blue Battlefield by approx. 32%.
  • Adjusted the damage dealt to the forts in Blue Battlefield by certain big ships as follows:

Blue Battlefield - DMG Dealt by Big Ships to Guild Galleys

In the Blue Battlefield, Adventurers often board big ships such as Carracks and Panokseons when Guild Galleys are at full capacity or when carrying out individual objectives. However, big ships had a relatively smaller role in combat compared to Guild Galleys, which play a crucial role in destroying forts, leaving something to be desired for Adventurers who wanted to make a greater impact on the battlefield.
To improve this, today's update increases the damage big ships deal to Guild Galleys. Big ships can now put more pressure on enemy Guild Galleys, increasing their ability to hinder fort destruction. As a result, it has become more important for Galleys to maneuver carefully to avoid concentrated fire. We hope these strategic elements make participating in the Blue Battlefield even more enjoyable.
We understand that Adventurers in guilds that mainly relied on Guild Galleys due to having too few big ships available for the Blue Battlefield may have some concerns about today's update. However, Guild Galleys will continue to play a vital role in securing victory in the Blue Battlefield. We will continue to closely monitor the situation after the update to ensure this remains the case.
  • Increased the damage dealt to Improved Guild Galleys and Galleys by the following big ships by approx. 24.8%:
    • Epheria Sailboat
    • Epheria Frigate
    • Improved Epheria Sailboat
    • Improved Epheria Frigate
    • Epheria Caravel
    • Epheria Galleass

Black Shrine - Donghae (Solo) Calamity 2-7 Reward Improvements

In a previous update, Light Orbs were added to Black Shrine - Donghae, easing the difficulty of Calamity 1 to 7 Boss Blitzes. To give Adventurers taking on these difficulties a greater sense of achievement, we have improved the Boss Blitz rewards. We hope you continue to take on the challenge.

An Essence of Dawn Box has been added to the rewards for Black Shrine - Hwanghae (Party) Hard Mode. This change aims to make acquiring Essences of Dawn needed for PvP gear progression smoother, while also preserving the overall value of Boss Blitz rewards in response to changes in Central Market prices for certain existing reward items. We look forward to your continued participation in Black Shrine - Hwanghae (Party) Hard Mode.

    • Fixed the spawn location of Coral Dreamfish to a single spot.

Pit of the Undying - Kharoxia Difficulty Improvements

Kharoxia, who appears in the Pit of the Undying, had a mechanic where she could be damaged using attacks with Knockback or Floating. While some classes in Black Desert have many Knockback and Floating skills, others have more difficulty using them, causing the difficulty of fighting Kharoxia to vary by class. To address this, we have improved the mechanic so it can now also be triggered with other types of CC, allowing all classes to face Kharoxia using their own unique traits.
  • Changed Kharoxia in PEN (V) Pit of the Undying to now be susceptible to Knockdown, Bound, Stiffness, and Stun, in addition to Knockback and Floating.
▲ Stun being applied by Ranger Awakening's Nature's Tremble

Pit of the Undying - Ascendra Difficulty Improvements

Ascendra features a mechanic where Adventurers must use her summon, Kun, against her. However, while fighting Ascendra and repeating this mechanic, Kun would sometimes be defeated, preventing Adventurers from performing the mechanic. To mitigate this issue, we have increased Kun's survivability and made additional adjustments so the mechanic can be triggered more smoothly.
  • Increased the summon Kun's Max HP by 50%.
  • Improved the summon Kun to perform the mechanic first when its HP falls below a certain level.
  • Changed the activation condition for the summon Kun's HP Recovery pattern.
    • Before: Under 50% HP
    • After: Under 20% HP
  • Improved the summon Kun to become Invincible while moving to perform mechanics.

Relocation of Certain Ocean Stalkers

Some Ocean Stalkers near Iliya Island spawned too close to the safe zone, causing Adventurers to fire at them from within the safe zone. Since cannon fire from within a safe zone does not deal damage, we have relocated these monsters to reduce this inconvenience.
  • Changed the location of [Hungry] sea monsters and monsters around Iliya Island.
    • As a result, the objective locations for certain quests have been changed:
      • [Daily] Wanted: Hungry Sea Creatures
      • Ocean Stalker from the Great Ocean

  • Fixed the issue where [Hungry] Hekaru was awkwardly placed in a certain location.

Mole Spawn and Profit Improvements

  • Improved moles to display a speech bubble immediately after moving, making them easier to locate.
  • Reduced the range at which moles detect nearby Adventurers and start running by approximately 28.5%, and reduced their running distance by 30%.
  • Reduced the time between the spawn notification message and the mole's appearance by 2 sec.
  • Improved the pillar of light that appears when a mole spawns to appear at the mole's location.
  • Mitigated the issue where moles could not be attacked for a certain period after spawning.
    • Before: Moles could only be attacked after fully emerging from the ground.
    • After: Moles can now be attacked as soon as their body appears above ground.
  • Increased the amount of Blush Leaf obtainable from moles:
    • [Hungry] Mole: Increased by approximately 733.3%.
    • [Caught in the Act] Slowpoke Mole: Increased by approximately 335.5%.
    • [Greedy] Pudgy Mole: Increased by approximately 173.6%.
    • [Lost] Giant Mole: Increased by approximately 192.5%.
    • [Playful] Pit-A-Pat Mole: Increased by approximately 135.7%.

  • Removed the Guard Crush effect from the attacks of the following Dark Rift Bosses: Red Nose, Dastard Bheg, Muskan, and Ferrid.
  • Adjusted the Guild Boss Subjugation monster Moghulis to summon the Wilderness Golem only once per combat.

Quest & Knowledge

  • Added quests that let you obtain additional Sea Monster's Ooze required to upgrade to an Epheria Caravel or Epheria Galleass.
    • Completing these quests alongside the Olvia Academy Sailing/Barter quests—[Sailing Course] Sick Hekaru Menace, [Sailing Course] Young Sea Monster Menace, and [Sailing Course] Proof: Defeat Hekaru—will make it much easier to upgrade your ship to a Caravel or Galleass.
