At least give us a way to turn off the combat music.

I've been playing for days now with the music pretty much muted.  A sad state of affairs.  I was at Stonetail Ranch, and on a whim, turned the music back on.  The Stonetail Ranch theme was playing!  I felt such a wave of relief flow over me, feeling at home once again, but then was assaulted by the bitterness of knowing that it as but an illusion, a lie.  The music was still screwed up, and it probably will be for a long time.  Dear players, keep posting to this thread, and supporting the effort to get the developers to heed our call to restore the music to what it originally, and correctly, was.

Peace!

The individual pieces of the new soundtrack are fantastic, so much so that I wish PA would put the whole of it up as download. I'd even pay for that. The what and especially where the music plays feels wrong though, might be even bugged ? Regional identity certainly gets lost. Well, they've announced they'd bring back separate riding music back later. That would be the perfect time to adjust the playlists to fit the context better again.

I agree with all of the people here... I wished there were a mix of the old and new soundtracks (the original version and the Remastered one) but of the respective regions.

Between the music that doesn't fit places, the suddenly cut music (which went worse than before) and the complete silence between tracks, it's just not a pleasant experience.

Like OP said, an option to toggle the change or to keep the old version (what we had in Remastered pre-change) and a playlist (thus avoiding the unwanted tracks) was what I really expected, even dreamed of, when the announcement was made.

And it goes without saying that BDO's music is awesome.

Make it real Pearl Abyss!

Just wanted to comment that the music for the game as a whole not only feels out of character but also uninspiring however, the music around the mountain of eternal winter feels very inspiratonal and is quite pleasant.  This is where I prefer to spend my time when I'm not out and about doing other stuff for this very reason.

When people declare that the game seems soulles, this is probably the biggest reason.

Hello all! It's good to see we are not alone in desiring changes to the current music set up or to be able to return to the previous set up. I find it hard to play BDO sometimes because I know some track that plays as I am playing with kick me out of the experience. I rarely go to Mediah and Valencia anymore.

PA is bringing something called the Marniwave, which may be their 'horse riding music.' Unfortunately it seems very limited and does not play many tracks which have been removed from areas they once played in. It also seems to only play when on a mount. I will give it a try.

A dedicated music player would be great. Give use the option to set what tracks we want where, if PA will not make it easy to revert to the previous music set up (like a on/off switch) or won't give the option not to suffle tracks. This would be true player freedom and allow for a return to a time BDO music, I thought, was one of the best in gaming!

On a side note: please upload more music to the offical PA music channel on YT. That's were I go to get the BDO music I want playing.

So does "MarniWave" address any of the issues mentioned in this thread?  I guess we got some sort of riding music back... what else?

It seems we're still stuck in the musical chaos begun in April.  Every week I hope that they restore the music to what it once was.  I'm STILL hoping.

Seems so. The Marniwave is like a 'Horse Radio' but you can play it off a horse, which is nice.

It does not address the issues in this thread, especially all the technical issues like silence between tracks and out of place music. It is a different system to the background music design... maybe so you can cover up the silence. It is put well here: https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/Forum/ForumTopic/Detail?_topicNo=15587

I do think its neat, especially if you like Jazz and Rock, which are all brand new (I think). I liked some of the tracks in Ethnic Fusion Waves and at best (regarding the issues in this thread) the tracks in Symphonic Riders could be used in Mediah. It would help to know what track is playing. Currently you can only change the 'radio' channel and not the track. I had some fun listening to legacy buskers and parades while learning Drakania awakening. It made it feel like I was in a tutorial area! It reminds me how when you enter into an area of street performers or taverns in BDO, their music starts playing. That's a great detail!

I don't think I'll use it. It does not fix the issues, but I may try Symphonic Riders as a replacement when traveling in Mediah whenever I return there.

Here's hoping that the music is set back to pre-April in the upcoming patch!
