PA:

It's obvious that so many players appreciate Shai and want to actually enjoy using her in this game.  You want her to not be so combatative, poor at PvP, and more of a lifeskiller.  And that's an OK vision.  I think everyone is agreable here.

BUT. People want to use their Shai for a main character.  This can't work because they have no awakening weapon to tag.  So, create a cipher like the Tuvala Pendant.  Problem solved, so you don't have to punish these players.

Also, you seem to REALLY push PvP as the end game.  Every adjustment you make (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) seems to be for the sake of PvP.  So, in doing this, you are telling Shai players: Hey, you're stupid.  REAL end game is PvP.  Get with the program!

Is this a PvP game like New World, or is it actually a sandbox game as advertised?

People want to feel like their time is well spent and invested in this game.  At this point, half the outfit boxes, such as Premium offer nothing for Shai?  Why?  You could offer SOMETHING.  Seems that 50% offered in this game is: NOT FOR SHAI...  And those things that are Shai exclusive?  One silly dance?  A couple silly poses on a plodding donkey?  All classes will soon play instuments?  Her lifeskill "buffs" are how useful now?  What is the end-game for Shai?  If it is not an endgame that most players will work for and appreciate, just tell the players bluntly, especially in character creation: This is a MEME class.  It will not help you reach endgame.  If you're cool with this, by all means, main this class.

Otherwise, please figure out a way to support this "support class".  Give her relevant lifeskill buffs.

No. We actually don't understand, and would very much like to understand WHY Pearl Abyss and the Dev team hate the Shai and have this ridiculous Vendetta against her. 

Its the only thing that makes sense at this point. Why on earth else would you ensure that Shai's have a SIGNIFICANTLY poorer quality of life than every other class? 

Rebalance the freaking class then if you think that adding Black Star Stats is too strong but for the love of christ at least give us the same quality of life that every other class enjoys BUT Shai.  

Fun fact: I was led to this forum post by GM Xian after writing a ticket because i can't get my Artina Sol to PEN even with 310 FS.

If there was any other way like making the shai "awakening weapon" taggable / sell or buyable via marketplace / safe PEN enhanceable from jetina quest i would do or buy it.

Im wasting hundreds of failstacks, thousand of memfrags and cron stones just because im unlucky with an "awakening weapon" that should be eqivalent to the other classes but isn't.

After watching the calpheon ball i was left speechless - no changes at all, just a "dance" nobody has asked for.

I just want to play a class, that i enjoy, that happend to be the shai.

Unfortunately after playing hours and hours i realized the disadvantages like:

-The unfair PVP - DR modifiers against other classes (especially striker and mystic)

-The unfair treatment with the "awakening weapon"

-Cool outfits (i want some badass armor and no cutie doll outfit with teddybears on the back, the halloween costume swap was the only cool stuff in my opinion)

In the current state of the game the shai has no advantages in PVE grinding than other classes, some spots are good, some spots are bad, but the lack of ability to protect her spot against these "no enjoyment, combat efficiency" classes annoys me a lot.

There is no need to try to give Shai more unique aspects in the world of the Black Desert, just look above or read other forum posts she has more than enough "unique aspects" and the next "unique dance" is eagerly awaited.

Maybe just have a listen to the community of shai players and do something that helps us out to have a more enjoyable gameplay.

I still look back to this post and it saddens me and boggles me how not even tag can be added. Not even catchup mechanics. And not even to marketplace.

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this but another problem caused by the Artina Sol is the lack of ability to buy costumes on the market since Shai can only use classic sets. nobody sells classic sets because of the profit ratio being optimized for premium sets. 

It used to have. But they removed from early on for no reason. To this day you can see the Talent weapon slot in Dye window, so we should have it, but PA is PA after all.

Gotta love that lower enhance rate vs boss weapons.

Yeah this is an issue, sadly getting any outfit for Shai from CM(besides whims alch) is 20x more difficult than real classes

We know that we can change our instrument appearance with different Sols, and there is a lot of evidence out there that suggests that Sol skins were planned. Incl whimsical alchemist premium set which still exists in the CM(1 sold lol)

So we can only assume that PA cut them to save money(instruments prob take a lot more effort than a sword to design, and Sol has 3) and as a result Shai's CM access to outfits is crippled.

Even in the recent Salanaar outfit sale, an outfit that was launched for only 4 classes, one being Shai... Shai was not included in the sale because it was only a sale on Salanaar Premium. 🙄

They could easily throw an item in our outfit boxes that can be extracted for the crons an awakening weapon gives, so we could participate in the Premium Outfix box market.. but I think they like it this way. I think they know that Shai players will fork over cash for outfits.. and the outfits we might have bought from CM will just go to crons to be thrown at the enhancement system anyways

I dont believe the % shown when enhancing Sol. I made a 349 stack with mine.. then just threw crons at pen attempts because I was completely out of fs. Think mine ate 18k crons and I had mid 60s billion silver in it. 

I know too many Shais with this same story. Bonnie spent double that and made several 200 fs in the process because they were being a responsible enhancer instead of rage enhancing with their biggest stack xD

That Shai paid PEN Blackstar prices for an untaggable Sol, because PA was too lazy and cheap to implement alternate methods like CM, weapon exchange coupon, or even jetina's guaranteed PEN as they claimed they would(vid linked earlier in thread)

and then they still managed to look at this thread and say "everything about sol is fine" 😂

Maybe they secretly don't want us playing Shai?.....
