i want to keep port ratt too! i was hoping to walk up the stairs and across the bridge one day. please don't destroy port ratt!

What's obvious from those images for me is that Land of Morning Light is... a new land mass that stretches northeastwards from where Port Ratt currently is. They don't seem to have populated existing space (because having fewer invisible walls would be too immersive), so they could leave some ruins of Ratt somewhere, probably.

Then again, some of the PA devs seem to be R-spammers too (only explanation I have for the disjointed lore the game has) and may care less about refurbishing Port Ratt for the sake of consistency and lore.

One argument I have in the favor of them doing this whole buldozing thing is that their old way of creating the world is quite resource heavy, with a lot of props stacked on top of the terrain that make objects spawn awkwardly (as it's the case with the burrows in Murrowak's), that lead to horses sinking into the "terrain", that have islands growing in size and shapeshift even when in close proximity to the camera. So maybe, just maybe, buldozing the Ratt area and starting off with a clean slate can prevent most of these things from happening.

All these being said, I'd still like to have some Ratt remains... somewhere. 

Any word from PA on this?

Did you miss Glab patchnotes ? They did what they said, port rat gone.

Having a village lost to the disease would be fine, but not the entire location. Not sure how they are working in chronological order the story, but leaving the front facade of Port Ratt would be great, it only requires some terraforming which is not difficult to make it look really good. I coudl fix the map contours in about an hour or so.

I was sincerely hoping that Ratt would just get expanded upon into the new area - not a complete overwrite. It is disapointing for certain. 

So finally, Port Ratt is gone.

PA doesn't care about what we have to say.

They worked on something so they wanna put it with no say from our side, the playerbase.

They don't care about the fact that they made something without knowing if we wanted it or not.

They don't care about our desire to visite Port Ratt and beyond the waterfall.

They don't care about us, the players, at all.

They only care about the work they did without consideration for us, the explorers of it.

But now, they even erase an entire continent which was the promise of future explorations!

What a waste!

We all wanted to go further Port Ratt to visit the continent there was!!!

And now... what the f...? Nothing else to visit beyond?

well look at the new island they added and looks like they took some of the stuff from port ratt and suck it there
