Succession Nova's PvE performance

Title: Succession Nova's PvE performance
Family Name: Quoratum

Suggestion/Comments: The comments I am about to get into are destined to impact PvE for this class, they have been compiled from Succession Nova mains in-game and in the class's Discord server to better reflect what we want. It's a fact, even stated by the developers, that the class has poor PvE performance and this is what we want to address:
1.- Storming Star (Shift+E): Succession's Nova cooldowns for skills that do the bulk of the damage (commands) are pretty long, reaching a point through any skill rotation where you have to use Storming Star, this skill has a very long animation with very low damage, at 1050%x1 (max 12 hits) with a last hit of 1050%x5, on a long cooldown of 14 seconds. To put things into perspective, Berserker's Prime: Raging Thunder III (also a long cast spin animation) has 1195%x1, max 61 hits, on the same cooldown having a better base mod and over five times the amount of hits. There's also awakening Hashashin's  Serpent Coil with 1690%x1, max 24 hits, on a 13 second cooldown, again with better numbers in every category. Using Storming Star really crashes down Nova's PvE DPS and it has be looked at, the base mods improved, the number of hits looked at and maybe considering doing all this through the addition of a Prime version.
2.- Summons don't benefit from skill's acc and crit bonuses (for all skills with pawns or Axian): this issue isn't exclusive to Nova and the class already struggles with accuracy having no evasion shred % or acc % buffs. We would like to see a 25% only in PvE summon bonus to crit rate and a small (10-20%) acc buff to their accuracy, to compensate for this.
3.- Prime: Swooping Ring (W+C): This skill has the particularity of being bugged when it comes to minion hits, doing a single hit with them for most if not all cases of being used. It has a hefty stamina cost, the animation is slow and the damage, due to this bug and due to the long animation, is pitiful. It's worth being looked at so it could be properly used by Nova more, adding another time burn that allows some flexibility with the long cooldowns discussed above.
4.- Absolute: Command: Rime ice (S+F), Face the Darkness (F), Mauling Star (LMB after Face the Darkness, has other cancels): these three skills have 844%x6, 986%x4, 986%x5 mods respectively on fairly low cooldowns, serving as combo starters or fillers in PvE most of the time. We would want those mods to be improved so the damage floor of succession Nova is raised further.
5.- Blind spots on Prime: Vengeful Star (W+RMB) and Prime: Bitter Reign (S+LMB): have both the weird interaction where you can entirely miss some of it hits with the mob in front of Nova, this severely hampers the use of both skills in PvE, even though their mods aren't so bad. This weird interaction isn't exclusive to them it happens too with Stamma's Mate (Shift+Q), but it's particularly bad for them when you want to chain together skills outside commands.
6.- Axian animation cancels on commands (any command that summons him): Succession Nova wastes a significant portion of damage whenever commands are cancelled quickly one after the other because Axian can't keep up, effectively canceling his portion of damage. This is obviously bad for her PvE damage overall and may need a deeper look regarding the skills themselves and how they register damage while Axian is summoned.
7.- Enrage and HP Draing mechanics: finally we wanted to address this even though it has to do very little with PvE. The class has some kind of stigma with the community because enrage as a whole rewards inactive gameplay, most of us agree in this regard and would like to see it either removed or re-imagined, along the fact we drain our own HP every time we cast a command. Enrage, if it stays, should be an active skill or active effects that has Nova player's input in mind, it would severely improve how people think Succession Nova works and would allow us to move past the idea the class "plays itsef".

Whole-heartedly agree with everything here, I'm glad someone finally made a thread about it. There's no reason for these issues to even exist much less go so long without being addressed, it's senseless and neglectful! Absolutely necessities these changes are.

Completely agree. Personally I would like to see some mechanic to restore forward guard strength. as the game develops more and more Nova is left in a state where she needs her front guard to be string to survive, but at high end gearing its siomply not possible to block attacks. I think the blood pact with axian is flavorful to the class. Personally I would like to see attacks with axian or maybe even our pawns restore our guard gauge to deliver more fully on the slow moving drain tanking archetype.

The most egregious thing to me is when your guard is broken, you can't dash, and dashing just flinches you, using most skills renews the guard break debuff you get because most skills will put you back in Q block. You're effectively just dead.

I don't know how the class ever "played itself".  If you just sat there idle and let Axian do the work, sure, he might kill the mob around you, but then you'd have to move to the next one.  If you sat there inactive for six hours, you might get half an hour's worth of real grinding.  There's plenty more lucrtive AFK things to do in this game.  Nova was very unique having multiple summonables to do her bidding.  It was really cool, and made her special.  Now it's a gimmick, or in the case of Axian leeching health, it can be an obstacle.

I would REALLY love to see all her Mourning Star skills, reg. and succ., restored to their former glory.  Give Maegu a run for her money.  Who better than the Star of Calpheon?

When players say the class plays itself they are talking about pvp, where you certainly can play an extreemly low commitment playstyle of just commanding minions and waiting for them to stiiffen someone.

To be fair, I can understand the frusteration, as if the nova gear checks you it can be horrendous to play the matchup. and if you aernt very season in pvp yooure going to find yourself getting CCed a lot by the soldiers hitting you in gaps you diddnt even realize you had.

This is why people hate the class so much. because they think theyre using protected skills and using safe attacks, but there are gaps, and when they find out theres a gap in their movement string because a soldier just stiffed them and then you slam them into the shadow zone with your mace that feels like shit to most players. They dont think 'oh. maybe theres an unprotected gap there.' they think 'this soldier just cced me during an iframe. thats stupid.'

Honestly this class needs to be buffed like the rest of the classes... Right now its just dead

Just wanted to give an update to anyone interested: Korea pushed a patch recently where the inability to dash with guard broken was addressed. Don't really know the specifics but we should receive it relatively soon.

Still nothing on the PvE side of things though.
