Season Server 2 / EU
Since the last update the horse always follows my character. This is extremly annoying and not very practial.
Last time I had a quest I had to overlook the region from a very high rock. The horse teleported up there to and refused then to walk down.
In another quest the horse got trapped under wooden stairs and I could not get out anymore.
Or another example in the picture below the mount refuses to walk through doors when I hop on again. It is also trapped now (Death Post) and I can not retrieve it at all and I had to walk to my next quest location.
Is there anywhere a setting I can de-activate the follow me function and the mount just stays there where I put it on the map before?
It also helps me with orientation/ as a marker on the map. Sometimes I just put the horse/mount to know where I entered a specific city or spot.
This would be very helpful.
Thank you
This is either the fourth or fifth thread on the topic. There will be more.
Your post brings up another point: the use of mounts as nav markers, either by their position on the map, or as auto-path targets.
"Stay, Roach. ... Dammit, I said 'stay'!"

Geralt of Rivia would agree that this "feature" is annoying.
Okay, I did find another thread as well just right now.
Another occurance about horse teleporting. It teleports on a table. Can not get it off anymore. Have to wait until appears on another spot again. Walking to next quest...not riding horseback:
Update: In the meantime my horse got killed by boss, then by some mobs, and now it drowned because it followed me on a rock at the beach. As I got on it jumped into the water.
Are there some free items in the pearl shop to reset my death counter of the horse?
As for now I am not using mounts anymore in game and walk.
Thanks alot.
"Shortly after the Three days of Darkness, mounts mysteriously began to exhibit suicidal behavior. The worst part of it was that they would insist on offing themselves directly in front of their owners. Those that weren't able to achieve death would do their best to entangle themselves in inextricable positions, and so becoming useless to owner and onlookers alike."
"This development was deeply disturbing to all who beheld it. Reports were that Illezra herself was horrified."

I love the feature it comes in handy quite often 😄 but for situations like this the gold horn is a life saver I'm guessing, the horn that summons mount from anywhere I mean should be free or give us a pegging system for the horse like the elephant has but make it functional that once you peg your mount to a fence or floor it cannot be summoned by horn or transported by quest completion so if you don't peg your mount roach its coming Walkies lol
I hate this horse teleport to quest "feature". It is the most annoying thing in the game rn.
Agreed this is the most annoying thing in the game. Please remove it from the game, or maybe kill two birds with one stone and replace that horrible Pirate Ship quest in the Magnus with some sort of horse-teleporting quest, so the developers don't feel bad their time spent perfecting the art of horse teleportation has gone to waste.
I like the feature. I have only noticed my horse follows me when I'm completing quests by NPCs.
