Underwater Corsair should be able to maintain the mermaid-state permanently (or let us turn it on/off for ppl who don't like it). I don't mean she should have a permanent speedboost, just her looks should be changed. Why would I like this change? Because I think it is a waste to give her a mermaid form which she can only use for a second at a time.

I felt weird that she could only turn into a mermaid once every few seconds as well, it also uses a lot more stamina compared to normal swimming. It would make the character much more unique if they were to make this change and probably make underwater activities a lot more lively (even spear fish underwater?).

I had my ship get destroyed in the middle of Margoria and tried to get to land by swimming.  I was disappointed that someone who's supposed to be a "mermaid" actually isn't that much better in the ocean than any other class.  Yes, I agree she should stay in mermaid form.  I mean, if you can turn into a mermaid, why would you ever want to be swimming in the ocean in human form wearing wet clothes and high heels?  Although I do think she needs longer speed swim ability and either permanent stamina or at least it should regen much faster.  You would think someone who is half fish could swim a lot longer.  You don't see fish get tired and float to the top to regain their stamina.  In the end, I had to get someone to come rescue me in their boat.

Another nitpick is I swear she has legs and feet in "mermaid" form.  That's not really what I picture in my head when I think "mermaid".

I wish this had more upvotes, a mermaid class is what brought me to play this game in the first place. It's the first game with a character I can customize and be a mermaid, but the mermaid part doesn't last that long. I feel if some changes were made to mermaid stuff they'd continue to bring in a new audience like myself.

As a "mermaid" she should be in her mermaid form permanently not for that 1s and then wait 3s and transform 1s again fir the speed boost, her stamina should replenish in water by standing still at the same speed as on land since we're talking about a mermaid here and since she's a mermaid infinite underwater breathing should be a thing but I guess that's "game breaking"......

I actually prefer the mermaid form having legs instead of a fin, but I wouldn't mind having the option to customize the mermaid form in character creation.

Really hoping they do this. Also please make the "mermaid form" customizable. So we can pick different fin/tale options and colors. Even if we have to unlock it via quests.
