There is a "small" difference between "rewards/gifts" and giving same trash every time. Those rewards not bad, but we already have them 2-3 times, old players doesn't need them. So from perspective of old player this is popping on our face.
I bet PA manage to baite a lot of new players to even play enough days to claim all rewards, while old players, well, look at steam charts, they say alot.

Correct. Why, for example, we never got captain's medallion?
No one says these rewards are bad, but not all of them are needed to all.

When I first started playing online games, we didn't get free stuff for just logging in. Now if what is given away isn't worth thousands of dollars, ungrateful entitled jerks cry.
Free stuff for logging in is a cheap attempt in order to make players even bother logging into the game. This is usually employed by games that lack of content.
And you are wrong. This tactic is not unique to bdo, and it's not new either. Games with lacking content (especially asian ones and mobile games) do this since ages, while games that are played cause they are fun generally not have two """event""" running all the time with multiple free stuff giveaway just for logging in...
Also if you could read, ppl complain cause the false advertisment, and they are not asking for more free stuff. If anything those login rewards should be removed and they should make them earneable ingame.
