This weeks event has mount exp 50%. Should we also get training 50% exp? Could you guys reduce the amount we have to spam the spacebar to capture a horse please?!!! I'm disabled. My fingers don't work. It is impossible for me to catch a horse with the spamming spacebar. Im not asking you to change the gameplay because me but could you guys lower it by like 50% or so. That way I can tame horses and upgrade my Dream horse.
A while ago they changed the mini-game so it was easier. You could hit space quite leisurely. Then they decided it wasn't enough of a "challenge" and made it super hard. Then they put it back to what it was when the game came out.
Their recommendation was to rekey your space bar to the mouse scoll button.
But they really should make it require less spamming of space. I would spend more time catching horses, but I don't want to get carpal tunnel.

Does this mean the scroll wheel? (i.e. spinning the wheel would work ). If so this would be great. Do you know where to keybind it?
I tried to rebind and mouse scroll wheel is not an option. They should rename the mini game Break Your Keyboard Event. I was able to swap it to any another key available. As far as I know, there is no way to bind it to mouse scroll.
I have captured horses, however only after, I had a neighbor who plays stop by and show me how it was done. As I watched in horror as they slammed the spacebar like a monkey with the pleasure centers of its brain wired to the keys. I have access to other keyboards (including macro keyboards) but I imagine EAC has their drivers on a blacklist, I won't risk it. Instead when I plan to hunt and capture horses, I plug in my older keyboard to damage it instead.
Meanwhile, my in house tech support told me, there is an electronic feature on some joysticks called "rapid fire" and you could plug one and assign the rapid fire button. EAC cannot "see electronics", since there is no macro driver you shouldn't get banned by EAC.
On the brightside of mini games, I did manage the "Impossible Task" quest twice. This quest is moving a wheel barrow full of rocks 500 meters down the road from one guard post to the next. It starts at the guard post northwest of Glish nearest the old extraction mill.
Don't break those keyboards.
Have fun!

That was my understanding. I never tried it because I already confused myself by requeuing W to a different key to train horse skills and then not realizing I had saved it as a pre-set and suddenly my character couldn't move anymore after the game crashed.
I'll try this when I get on tonight.
OK. I did give it a try and while I can key SPACE for MMB, it needs to be clicked to work, rather than scrolled. So I have no idea what support was on when they suggested that.

Not MMB! Mouse wheel up or down!
Even ignoring the issue of the mini-game, it's just bizarre to not have a training XP buff along with the mount XP buff. They usually do, and given how ridiculously long it takes to level up training, it needs every buff it can get.

Pro tip.
you do not need to start pushing spacebar when the minigame starts.
Let it wait until its 3 to 2 secounds left on the timer, then start pushing space with 3 fingers rolling :) easypeasy.
