How do I turn off the Marniwave (permanently)

I don't want to sound ungratefull but I am rather allergic to auto Popup's in the game, and now Marniwave pops up whenever I ride a horse.
Is there a way to disable it, or have it at least minimized? Out of sight out of mind.

Man, this game needs some new UI. The amount of recently added pop ups is crazy. The option to disable pearlshop suggestions is still not functioning. Like wow, the UI design is literally falling apart.

I just unlocked it a few mins ago... Oh no, what have I done????
Surely they'll patch this within the next couple of weeks. Surely..... It's not a bad feature it's just a bad feature when it becomes an undesireable popup.
EDIT:
I logged in just now and it's not a forced popup. I think it's because I ticked off "Autoplay when mounted" that it didn't appear when I logged in. It's fine folks, just tick that checkbox on the player itself. :)
Edit 2:
Turns out if you log out completely it will appear again when you ride a horse. Seems bugged

I was just about to set out to do this quest to see what Marniwave is, and just saw this post. Thinking now maybe it's better that I don't.

You can turn it off, tick off the auto-play while mounted and it will not appear on login. That's what I did and no issues. :) I edited my previous post to indicate this as well. Thank goodness!

Either way seems like this is a quest I can pass on. Fine.
Btw isn´t that good design if something new appears in an already convoluted menu interface and when you click it it says "NOPE must do quest first". New PA invention: The menu unlockables (best with included cash shop convenience items to speed up the menu progression)?

Why it needs to pop up with all the other pop-ups that fills the whole screen so you almost die sometimes because it have to pop-up.
It's not player friendly.

Even if you uncheck the box, after relogging to different character or logging out of the game, it will again be back on and playing. I really regret doing the quest now.
