In the next patch, when you create a new character you'll have the option to skip tutorials. Now, I don't know if this extends to cutscenes that weren't normally skippable but the intro tutorial at the very least will be skippable.

First they remove the annoying Marni's player popup and now they made the tutorial skippable. It's not much but it's a step in the right direction. Another well appreciated change. Oh and Mythical Arduanutt is going to have the option to be turned white (another thing which people complained about). Not sure when this will be implemented though.

Cutscenes already were skippable, I told you last time. 

Don't press ESC, just hold R. In the top right of the screen, the R button will appear and then just fill in the circle.

Yeah but Twoshai acts like no cutscenes are skippable, because he would always press ESC instead of R

I said the tutorial can be skipped, I didn't say cutscenes were skippable. It's possible they will allow us to skip cutscenes that weren't skippable. I know the difference between ESC and R is, and the fact that there's a difference is enough of a problem in its own. It should behave the same way, not differently. That is not intuitive game design, that's bs design especially when paired with random unskippable cutscenes.

While you and I both know that there's a difference between ESC and R, it doesn't mean that 99% of the playerbase will know. They should both behave the same way and all cutscenes should be skippable, not just random ones.

on the ESC vs R note

I redid the mountain of eternal winter questline again on my seasonal- and randomly enough, one of the cutscenes in Dreigan cannot be skipped with R, you have to ESC it

maybe there was a lack of communication among the team idk, but that kind of thing just adds to confusion for new players

This is a very small victory though 😭 I guess the real bdo players in KR didnt like this either... or maybe its just too much effort for them to fix the tutorial so that new players dont get locked in it.. This change is too late for Returnofwarriors though, who ironically enough, wont be returning 😬😂

now if they will reduce the time required to hold R to 1 second and remove the confirmation prompt to skip cutscenes...

I would love for this game to have a better more fleshed out story, and I think the way that MoEW gave backstory and history to Drakania was amazing. I want something like this for Shai! ❤ (for all classes would be cool, after Shai ofc.)
