Current skill tree design is quite outdated. Enhancement skills (or Rabams) were supposed to be powerful skills made of 2 combined Pre-awakening skills. That worked well when successions weren't a thing and when every class used to swap stance between awakening and preawakening.
In 2022 the issue is:
-Most recent awakening classes have been developed in a way so that preawakening skills are obsolete and they are made to be used almost only in the awakening stance. Using a powerful rabam would force the character into preawakening which can be harmful sometimes. In some scenario they are great for stance swapping.
-Successions are out, and using rabam skills won't force them to swap stance, so they use them way more often than awakening.
My suggestion is:
-Keep the current enhancement skills as they are and develop awakening enhancement skills that have the same utility/damage but that are used with the awakening weapon and let the awakening players choose to pick a preawakening rabam ( if they want to use them for stance swapping) or an awakening rabam (if they want to stay in the awakened stance) for each level's rabam.
-Make an awakening version of abyssal skills from Magnus
That would be good for classes that could use a skill that swaps them from pre-awakening to awakening stance but they wont do it because they would have to design a whole new set of animations which they said is comparable to making a new class.
Updated the post with the addition of Abyssal skills
