Title: Remove crystal breaking upon death

This suggestion is not new as there have been many complaints in-game, on reddit, twitter, Steam comments and even on this forum:
With the introduction of the new crystal system the reason might be slightly different then before.
Unfortunately that flexibility brings with it the much higher chance of breaking crystals in unintentional scenarios, leading to a lot of player sadness.
Whenever I lost a crystal it was mainly my fault for putting myself in a bad situation but was confident at least I was properly equipped when doing so.
i.e. lost crystals when grinding Ash Forest or travelling through the Crypt of Resting Thoughts.
There was also the less fortunate case of people feeding me to mobs in risky zones, by PVPing and leaving the mobs to finish me off - but still as bad as it sounds not a very common occurance at least for me.
Was this my fault? yes. Do I feel cheated even though I messed up? yes.
So why is this a big deal? Because even on my main, I used to die unintentionally while going to do a PVE activity with lifeskilling clothes on - it happens more often then you think.
Imagine afk auto-pathing somewhere and getting stuck in a curb or some random player with a Doom stopping you, and while the initial action might not kill you, aggroing a random mob on the side of the road will - so you return some time later to find your char dead, and out of a couple hunder to 1bil or more (which is not a huge deal in the current economy but still 1h+ grinding for a most players).
The new system and it's flexibility is a good step forward and maybe there are other ways to resolve it, but the current penalty deters me to use it on anything other then my main character (cautiously), and just use a crappy low-cost preset or no preset on alts.
