Suggestions/Comments: 

Please greatly increase the frequency of random Lopter spawns while sailing.  Currently, we're lucky if we get 1 lopter spawn every 6 months.  It appears to be a broken spawn system.

There are titles available for 1/10/100 lopter kills.   100 lopter kills at the current rate would take 50 years.

Also, please make the Lopter Scale a guaranteed drop.

For the time being, can we please get a definitive clarification of the actual spawn conditions?  

Definitely Lopter is bugged. A friend who has been actively bartering for over a year met him only once. I only did once too.

Rumors that can be obtained on the net show that Lopter spawns only in the vicinity of the Oquilla Eye. And that may be true because that's where I met him. But no one is going to senselessly sail days, weeks or months around the Oquilla Eye just to kill 100 of them for the title.

Correct. Conditions of his spawning was never explained.

Yeah. I've looked for that one for a while.  I didn't even know there was a requirement to kill 100 of them. If that's the case, they should be almost as common as the smuggler ships, which have a similar requirement.

This is still horrible knowledge/mob to get even with the great sea monster rework. I drive through these area's so often and even attempted to increase the chance by avoiding the Mermaids wish and it still never triggers and I have spent over a year now hunting it almost every day.

Almost a year after my last post and I'm still at 0 spawns.

Meanwhile, I got the smuggler ship achievement a while ago, just from killing them while bartering.

Please fix.

6 months? I never saw any of them and I'm bartering almost every day since 2 years.

2 years?..i have been hunting these most days for 4 years as i do afk fishing at OE often and do the daily OE smh quests..have long had the Codex map which supposedly show Lopter spawn locations..and apparently just showing 1 Lopter scale piece to Sherah Riki opens up a cool 30 or 40  piece "Mysterious Painting" quest chain that i would love to do..but alas after 4 years im still waiting on these little blue creatures to appear...so the knowledge / titles and quests for them seem to be pointless.

You do not have to kill a lopter for that mysterious painting questline.  Part of the questline has you examine the lopters by the velia fishing hotspot (or was it the ones in Epheria??) that gives you a scale for this questline.

 But as of now, the lopters are spawning fine.  4 to 6 hour respawn time, 1 lopter per server.  I've gotten 12 in a few hours.  I think they scales are even a guaranteed drop now.

Got a kill on one a month ago, no scale drop.
