Overall this patch provided positive changes to the class, albeit leaving more to be desired.
Issues with Dragon’s Maw:
-Enemies too close to you may not be hit by Dragon’s Maw at all.
-Enemies with mild differences in elevation may not be hit by Dragon’s Maw at all.
-It is impossible to use Dragon’s Maw then Searing Fang. The Shift+RMB is registering the Flow Howling Light instead. This is the only skill with a LMB or RMB input affected by this. Frigid Wind, Fierce Disdain, Glorious Advance, and Scornful Slash interact correctly with Dragon’s Maw.
Overall comments on the class & patch:
-The change to Frigid Wind allowing us to enter the extra attacks without hitting a target was a strong addition, THANK YOU.
-Additional accuracy on Flow: Suppress and Flow: To Ashes are weird choices, these skills are not used in PVP due to being objectively not worth the risk. I suppose they provide benefit against monsters, but the class did not have accuracy issues so it feels like no useful change was made.
-When people complain about the class feeling slow, I think a lot has to do with how the skills interact with each other naturally. For example, take Searing Fang both hits then use Dragon’s Maw. Or God Incinerator followed by Scornful Slash. It’s these locks in animation that feel rigid and unfun to play.
-The majority of players leave Infernal Steps and Scalding Thorn locked and never use them. It would be nice to see these changed to be more useful. The same can be said for Torso Ripper and Beast Demolisher (absolute & prime) in pre-awakening.
I agree that the patch has brought some nice things but still leaves some things to be desired. Like the ability to enter i frame from frigid wind without a target is nice but you don't really have any follow up. You end up just really stalling your inevitable death. Personallly i'd like some animation change to cleansing to make it faster. Also maybe make some core skills just part of the kit by default like forward guard on glorious advance and forward guard on scornful slash. These changes would probably still not be enough to put the spec in a good place but they would be a step in the right direction
Awakening Guardian always had issues with hitting things directly in front of her. Did they ever fix cleaning flame with that?
Um...this issue literally affects almost any class that has a projectile of any kind, if there elevation if off just enough..You are hitting nothing but the ether, skies
still succession outclass awakening in DMG protection and whatnot..
awakening feels much morefun than before though after the current patch its just not relevant when you are pulling much better numbers on succession.
100% agree with all of this, she's just too slow and it's just odd as to why that is but also one point I would add is... why is it that she's the only meant to be a tank class not have a dp passive guard buff like the other classes? Even rat class like woosa and Musa has these even when they don't need it.

I have no idea what they envision for Guardian's class fantasy anymore. During the AOA Best In Class feedback call they mentioned something like a front liner but aside from the iframes I don't see how she's meant to fulfill those shoes. The awakening kit has only one frontal guard (unless you take Scornful Slash core, which is fringe/niche) and the rest super armor... so you evaporate in the 'front line' or you're in iframe, suspended from being useful besides being a distraction.
At best the class serves as "ball insulation" in large scale. A source of damage, slow distribution and hit stagger disruption for enemy players diving aggressively.
