Failstacks for T10 is a good update, it should have been like this from the start.

That being said, some of us have been attempting t10 since 2020 and poured so much time (oh, so many dailies....) & mats into this system already and have gotten nothing  in return for it, while of course the lucky few get the horse with ease.

It would be very very very much appreciated PA by us unlucky ones if the current attempts to date were backdated so the last few years haven't felt like a total waste of time.

No idea how this would be implemented, or how you would track on the back-end if some people have clicks spread across multiple horses (mine personally are on the same two horses all these years) but still - please consider this.

It would make a good update even greater for us horsie people who already engage in the content :)

If you looked, you'd find a large number of other topics on this exact thing. The answer is thus: unless PA impleme ted a system from the start to keep track of attempts, adding retroactive failstacks is likely not possible or feasible.

You've lost nothing for your attempts thus far aside from what everyone attempting them loses, with or without failstacks.

"You've lost nothing for your attempts thus far."

Don't you think what you said is a bit of a stretch?
This person has been tapping their horse for the past three years with exactly the same chance of 3%. No more, no less. There was no sense of 'progress'. No feeling of "Oh, well. I have failed this time, but at least this failure has increased my chance for the next attempt."

Even as a person who got their T10 at 3rd attempt, I completely understand where Clear comes from.
And as much as I love this change, because I will be trying for another T10, it may be really frustrating for those people who have been trying to get their Mythical Horse for so many years with the same chance of getting it.

I am no expert in coding, so I have no idea if it is possible for PA to track down the attempts players have had so far, but in my opinion it would be really nice to somehow reward all those players who have struggled so far throughout those years. And I am pretty sure such people would definitely get their Mythicals by now, considering the number of taps they have attempted if PA would backtrack them.

Again, don't get me wrong - as a player I am extremely grateful for the change, but this change should be present from the day when Mythical Horses have been implemented.

And please, don't get started on "Sorry, but BDO is unfair in general. So either accept it or go play a different game" type of attitude. At the end of the day, I would like to see this person and many other who have been struggling so much to succeed. Because yes, I am happy for other players, doesn't matter if I know them or not.

There was no failstack for t9 at the start. They implemented it later - they counted in previous attempts player made, and they were locked into horse (fs'd reset if horse is sold via marketplace). I do believe they have full insight of attempts made per account/horse etc, even if the % chance is fixed right now - so I wouldn't be surprised if they include it this time too.

I only wonder what factor they would lock the failstack on - since t9 is just a one horse and t10 requires two, so if someone d sell one would they lose the stacks? <thinking> or maybe they will lock it per family.

It's going to be family wide according to the patch notes for GLabs! https://www.blackdesertfoundry.com/global-lab-updates-7th-july-2023/

This is good news.

No offical stance on backdating stacks yet from what I can find.

You are aware of the fact that every attempt costs around 1b, requires a lot of time and is also heavily time gated? Not even mentioning the fact that some people are failing for three years now and are thus not getting the reward for content they play religiously daily for THREE YEARS now. Yeah sure... lost nothing there...

I really hope they add the failstacks retroactively and have them saved.

I have been attempting on Mythical Arduanatt and Mythical Diné.
I don't know specifically how many tries I have done, because I thought I would be even sadder if I knew how much tries I have done.
I do know that I have been doing those dailies, weeklys for more than a year.
I don't know how would they count the attempts that we have made but the failstack systems seems to be family wide, so there wouldn't be a problem knowing which horses the attempts were made on.

Please PA, help these unlucky ones that have been trying and seeing some of their guildmates riding these beautiful horses before their eyes.

why would PA do that? The whole thing was a niche for a niche amount of players with crappy odds. AND YOU STILL DID IT.

Why would PA give you now an almost guaranteed t10 if you suffered through way worse system for 3 years? Lets be real, YOU WILL GO NOWHERE. You will suck it up and keep playing either way. No shot you will quit NOW cuz you are little butthurt.

No one said anything about quitting if they don't add it. Where did you get that from?

That said, I agree on backdating failstacks. It's very unfair that it was not in the game for 3 years and now that it's here, people that tried for that long time would not get rewarded for it.

so after failstacks are implemeneted every attempt is not gonna costs around 1b, and won't requires a lot of time and is also isn't heavily time gated? that argument doesn't work if what you're going to be doing is the same thing you will be doing. you didn't lose anything because you were still doing attempts for t10.

would be great if they did retroactive, but this wouldn't be consistent at all with what PA has been doing with what is essentially catch up mechanics
