Hello there!

An honest post about rerolling to another character.. but it's not what you think (probably) ;-)

Started playing BDO in 2017. Really enjoyed pushing for exp and getting rewarded for all that hard work. But getting gear was actually harder than now and I got really tired of the gifting thingy that was a thing back in then. I quit during 2018 spring for some time, until I decided to give the game another shot in March 2020. I got really hooked in to the game. A lot had improved, but the game still had that grindy touch and you had to work to actually achieve something, which I liked. 

I just kept pursuing a new thing after another. I played the game so much I actually even neglected some other stuff. And covid times made it even worse. I had a lot of different goals which I achieved all, except for the merchant's ring. Got only 3/5 pieces. While other people kept getting the olun pieces and completed the ring so much faster, I initially just kept thinking that I am just that misfortunate. Months and years gone by and I just started to feel very unmotivated and kept asking myself, why do I even keep doing this. Does it really make me happy if I get the merchant's ring. Surprise surprise the answer is a no. What I thought was a misfortune turned out to be a fortune me in other ways. How so you may ask?

Well that is because I ended up rerolling to another character.. And that character was myself!

Improving new things instead of just a virtual character. I got back to socializing more, exercising and doing new things and visiting new places. Got rid of that extra 5kg weight I got while I were just gaming and got back to fit. 

I am not saying you or anyone should quit playing the game. I haven't, I still play a bit, but much more in moderate way. Happy life is a balanced life. 

If this post motivates even a one person to go and do some other stuff, perhaps a new hobby, learn a new language or anything else, then I am happy.

One thing I want to share with you fellow improvers.

As you start to re-shape your life, you may notice people around you might change as well. People generally want you to do well, but not better than them. They will show you their true face and this will also show you, who your true friends are. Don't be discouraged though. You just have more space for new amazing people in your life!

Trying out another clases or making naohter hoby is nice.The best hobby ever would be  getting a wife irl.

It's a lot harder, if you wait for someone to come and get you from home. Get out there and make it happen sir!
