Make Shai less crucial for group play & strengthen her solo capabilities

Suggestions/Comments: Currently in BDO there are 27 classes. 51 if you count clases with succession and awakening as 2 separate classes.

Despite this shai, a single class, is absolutely crucial for every group activity in this game, PvE and PvP alike. Everything with 3 or more people you're better off with a shai.

If classes were equally useful, each one should have around 4% presence. Currently shai is 33% in 3 man content. Hell, shai is so good for group stuff that even 2 shai + dps can be very strong for dehkia oluns.  

Oluns/Dehkia oluns? Inting without a shai, especially dehkia. Most of the groups in find party/platoon tool is waiting for a shai, despite tons of people having her tagged.  

Atoraxxion? Way slower without a shai, shai lets you skip half mechanics on the bosses, trivializes them.  

On arena of arsha  3v3 tournament teams with shais rolled over those without.   

Open world gvgs? If you face a guild with a shai you might as well dodge the pvp.   

Guild league? On EU the best guilds run 3 each, 20% of the team is shai. Not having a shai and queueing against a guild with one means you get dominated unless you heavily outgear.  

Nodewars/sieges, multiple shais needed for every alliance or you're insanely disadvantaged.  

Shai is objectively the most impactful class in every group content, yet somehow Shai players never feel strong - it's terrible design. Make her more capable individually while nerfing her buffs. That way Shai players get to feel strong and independent while other players don't depend on them so heavily.  

I don't know what exact changes would make it fair and still retain her identity as a buff class, but it needs to be done. For PvE she definitely could get some bigger aoes.

Completely agree. Very important note to adress that shai is providing team with everything except damage. This class have potential to become tankiest class in the game aswell, meanwhile being a healer/buffer/ccbot class type. Its unacceptable that one class is creating so much difference in any team fight. Also i have no idea how to fix that class, but surely in actual state that class is insanely broken. Any other class composition that does not have shai is griefing your own team at any content. Class is actual "must-have".

So, you want them to nerf Shai buffs and strenghten her solo capabilities?
Welcome, thats what a lot of Shai mains have been asking for. We want our solo capabilities to be buffed (please add down attack for god sake), more talent skills, a succession spec, i dont know, more solo strenght, and nerf the buffs. 
But PA doesnt care about our feedback. 

Now, she is meant to be a support class, in a game where pretty much everything else is damage damage damage. So really, i dont think the situation will change much regardless.

Hello Kill,

I must say, labeling Shai as "broken" isn't entirely unjustified. Your points are valid: Shai indeed makes a significant difference. She buffs, debuffs, heals, and CCs. However, you're overlooking the fact that any class providing benefits to itself and its team is valuable, similar to how Valkyries serve as "ambulances" during the fights. This is one of the key reasons why Valks are crucial in Large Scale PvP. Not only are they tanky with a powerful vacuum, but they also offer substantial heals and accuracy buff. This makes them the one of BIS class for nodewars and sieges. If I'm correct, previously, before the nerfs of PA, Witchards were this type of BIS in mass PvP for almost similar reasons. The bottom line is simple: a class that contributes to the team's success is more valuable than others. That's the essence of Shai's role.

If PearlAbyss were to nerf Shai's buffs, debuffs, heals, or CCs abilities, as long as she continues to offer any form of team support, her fundamental role in the game would remain unchanged. Nerfing her would make party content just more challenging and less enjoyable. It wouldn't significantly affect PvP since both sides would experience the nerf. However, as long as Shai remains a contributor, she will still be a worthy addition to any team. On the other hand, PvE would suffer, particularly group content, as Shai would provide less support.

Completely altering her abilities, such as making her buffs self-only, would likely makes her useless. This is despite the fact that Shai, as a class, is already in a precarious state. This would be similar to removing Sorceress's iframes, stripping the class of its main characteristic or "trademark." As a quintessential support class, Shai's role is to alter the dynamics of gameplay, both PVP and PVE. Consequently, Shai players often struggle with solo grinding, defending themselves during DFS, or enjoying - cause it's not funny at all to be honest - other activities like Large Scale PvP (both capped and uncapped) or Guild League.

By the way, do you know why top guilds use up to three Shais, because you maybe didn't find it out? It's because of a bug (hope it not works as designed) where a single Shai can only buff like 3-5 players. Coordinating buffs with two Shais is still challenging (I speak from experience), so having three is often the most effective way to quickly buff your party.

As a long-time player for this class, taking away shais tankiness, and forcing players to act as buff slaves in PVP have made her the worst support class I have ever experienced in any game. That said I support an entire class rework, please make a class that is fun to play the objective goal for the process. I'm sure I am not alone in this desire, though I know some (very few) shais enjoy the 4 button 1s rotation spamming every 15s for 4hrs.

"potential to become tankiest class" ??? where is that potential? She literally has nothing that makes her more tanky than many other classes. Sure she has high HP, but that's all. no combat passive, no good basestats for dr/eva, basically no iframes, no block, no way to disengage...the only reason shai is tanky is, that she puts everything on DP that is possible. If I would wear the same gear on a striker I would be impossible to kill, while most classes can 1v1 Shais nowadays.
I love my support play. I don't want to be strong as a single class and rather support many ppl in pve and PVP. The only thing that makes her a "must have" in PVP is her misty haze I would say....that thing is op af in PVP and I would accept a nerf to it if we could have old cd back on it, and maybe another heal for PVP. Maybe a nice stationary aoe that has a HoT. 
But I don't think things will change on her. If they nerf her to be be a requirement anymore, then the class is dead or just like every other dmg class...and its not like she is the only class required in group pvp. Without valks and zerkers you also have a big disadvantage.

Thats also true. I had like to remember she does not have a Evasion Passive. The class isnt that tanky.
What happens is people wear everything DP in her in uncapped large scale.
