Hello!
I lost patience to microsoft's changes and i got question: It is possible to switch off screen synchronization for fullscreen windowed mode like exclusive mode in Windows 11??? Im stuck on 60FPS but on fullscreen mode i get v-sync off and unlimited FPS...
(Windows 10 Home 22H2 19045.4412)
Thanks for help.
It was possible to force V-sync off even in borderless windowed with old Nvidia drivers from like 2018. Looking through my download folder my guess is that its the 391.24 win10 drivers (file version says 1.0.7.0). Probably not worth to use this old drivers nowadays though.
I asked BDO support why theres no option to turn V-sync off in the game settings and they claimed that its not possible to do in WIndows 10 which my above results contradicts so its probably an "we dont want to waste our time adding that to the game" answer.
A warning though if you start testing old drivers, Windows 10 does not recognize the ones I mentioned above and the second you let Windows update run (cant even be turned off permanently in win10) it will force update your GPU drivers without asking. Doesnt even matter if you are actively playing a full screen application at the moment Windows gives zero fcks about its users wishes.
I eventually gave up once I got a 144hz monitor since it no longer locked to 60fps at that point. Up-to-date drivers with forced V-sync was still a 10-15% hit to performance compared to old drivers which is tragic but I just couldnt be bothered with it all anymore.
Good luck.
It is not game or driver fault, because i read somewhere that Microsoft change it to render windowed game with desktop together... So probably this problem with directx and windows kernel.
