Im honestly shocked why prople are complaining about this outside of it not lasting longer or player number caps, both of which could be tweaked a little..
-No more arranged fights
-Better rewards for most
-more intense fights(king of the hill style is fun AF.)
Now bring on the hit/eva/dr reworks and lets have a great year of game improvement.
Hi, I think the last time PA took forever (way too long) to realize that their idea of NW was wrong and the recent changes to PVP weren't well received by many, that people just lost trust in PA to make a quick decision if necessary.
That may not be fair, but the core of players who play NW are very focused and therefore changes that were previously heavily criticized are no longer acceptable for most.
If you then consider that even though the system has been "tested" in KR, and we still have the same bugs, then you might understand that players no longer have any tolerance for such unprofessional behavior.

Except you got it twisted, it is not king of the hill it's king of bodythrowing into 50/50 last hitting the fort. It's there is no incentive to fight anyone once you get the fort because you are entirely at the mercy of other guilds for content. If they don't attack you you just afk untill it's over for win condition unless you go out of your way to cap another fort at which point you are risking getting severely punished for trying to play the game. Or your fort is close to expiring so you have a bunch of guilds trying to bodythrow ur fort to yoink it from you at the last minute so you don't have time to take it back. It's so ass backwards it's insane.The only good thing is the new rewards and no arranged fights I guess which we could have with completely different system that doesn't suck lmao.
Nodewar should be pre-version of siege, not redbattlefield with inting for fort last second.

As I read it from someone else, capturing the fort should sent back the timer to 5 minutes min. And if it goes after the NW usual period of time, if the fort is destroyed again by another guild, the fort is lost for the possessing guild but not conquered by the other.
There are some needed tweaks, forts should be claimed not through destruction but through a long cast of "claim", and once claimed it should come with minimum defences.

That's a good idea of if they want to make it better it should be which guild has most amount of time or most amount of kills around that fort rather than killing the fort to take it over. The diplomacy of NW needed to be removed from the game and these changes imo helps with that. There shouldnt be a council deciding the wars, it should be up to the guilds pulling up their boot straps and actually making competition. The previous system was riddled with ways people could exploit it so the war turns out how they want it and to me it seems PA is trying to remove it.
