Watching the many You Tube videos starting to post content on enhancing Soveriegn Weapons, and it looks pretty brutal.  There's one of a KR player who started with 200K plus.  Other videos showing players Croning outfits, probably bought from the Pearl Shop.  This is not to mention buying the yellow enhancing stones, using up Memory Fragments and building up FS stacks.  Looks like it takes about 330 FS to go from VI to VII.  You need VIII (Oct) to get super glowey weapon effect.

Who can grind 250K Crons????

This has been my issue with bdo  as I've kept slowly progressing instead of just getting new weapons and armor with each new zone like a normal mmo rpg.

they instead have opted to try and reinvent the wheel. And the results each time they do this are either more useless systems see godyr aye  or they make it an extreme time sync to go to the next gear see caphra stones.

The problem is they have now gone to an extreme.  One is OK with grinding 10 caphra levels + a drop or craft after 100 pitty to get new gear. But I can't imagine people are all to thrilled  that the best weapon in the game takes 2x pen blackstars. You know the weapons  that are expensive af and you have a very low chance of actually hitting. But don't worry they added a 40 fail pitty system ya that will fix it..... surely.....

BDO has created a new problem for anyone new trying to get into the game  and that's it's extremely steep vertical progression system that most people with any sanity will not touch with a ten foot pole. The cron stones becoming such a core part of enhancing unless you want to downgrade has been a ticking time bomb for better and better gear requiring more and more of them.

Here's the bottom line that I see with this game. Bdo is  not In a Good state right now and instead of creating new interesting content they giving us land of morning light 2 and a new brutal af weapon to obtain.  Oh sure you get 1 for free since they gave out a pen blackstar to everyone  but uh what about the 2nd weapon since you have 2 slots to fill and what about the inevitable new offhand?

Oh boy  can't wait  to waste 1 year of grind time to obtain any actual progress..... ( having to get 2 more blackstar duplicates) or pray to rng God's for a vell heart equivalent drops while everyone else gets huge gear leads over others who are stuck by rng weekly boss POG

They should bring back 1m crons from vendors so enhancing system will be not as brutal as it is now. But PA don't give a damn about own game.

they'll probably sell another causal 6000+6000  x 500 per person, but who cares I surely don't anymore.  Enjoy new carrot on a stick"content" 

That's exactly my issue with the "normal mmorpg" you mention, new areas and gear making your current gear totally obsolete.

The problem does not come from this, it comes from the excessive weight given to RNG.

250k? I'd say more like over 1mil for each Sov weapon if you want to get DEC.

I was bored so went to Garmoth and did some enhancing of Sov weapon for fun. Slapped tries on the 'recommended' failstacks just to check how much would I need.

I'll repeat before someone will come with acthually-kind of explanation that I'm not correct: probably, I don't care, did it for fun just to check approximately how much effort I would need for DEC. The "tries" section seems optimistic so in real life scenario I'd be even more down with money. That said, some conclusions:
- On average if I was lucky I'd need ~80 bil worth of crons to get one weapon from PRI to PEN

- OCT is more than 500 bil worth of crons total (PRI to OCT).

- So, if I wanted my bling on both weapons I'd need to be very lucky and get over 1 trillion silver. Not counting memory fragments, new enhancing stones and expensive stacks.

In short: meh, this is not worth my time. Even if the math is wrong, which is possible, we're looking at billions on top of billions worth of crons for what... shiny gold weapons that I have nowhere to use? Not to mention Debo grind and Slumbering Origin grind.
