Never was easier to reach endgame in bdo. What you want? Get pen debo set + tet fg + nov souvereign straight from season? It can't be easier than current, game is already dieing because there is no real diff between mid game and end game 

Fair market and trade was always the best catchup mechanic in a good sanbox styled game. Shame we got duped into beliving this was one.

The whole game should be fun and interesting, not just a mad rush to endgame.  And what is endgame?  Gringing in circles in badly designed, meaningless areas?.....

They've been gutting midgame for years, since it's been deemed "meaningless", but the areas developed for it are far more interesting and steeped in lore.

So......... what is PA doing anymore and who are they trying to please?

I think they're doing their very best to kill this game.  Why they are?....... Who knows....

With regards to endgame, you can indeed purchase things on central market. The core problem is that 1 billion an hour is the realistic maximum for consistent income unless you are hardcapped (as I understand it). With endgame costing hundreds of billions, this is hundreds of hours of grinding. Many new players are turned off by this and leave the game. The ones who stick around may think hundreds of hours of grinding is great, however this seems like a self-selecting group. Indeed, making midgame better would be excellent. Midgame areas getting more attention would make things more fun.

No.  I completely disagree.  PA has already alienated most veteran players by catering to fickle, dishonest and entitled new players.  New players aren't nearly as profitable as veteran players over the long haul.

We don't know how things would go if PA catered to new or veteran players, because PA has catered to neither of them in a meaningful way.

We know exactly. PA is changing game with new players while neglecting needs of veteran players for some time. 

I can even pinpoint exact breaking point: guild dec changes from around year ago. Before that we have seen karma changes and smaller adjustments, but that precise moment was when PA decided to update game with new players in mind. The fact it's not working properly and player retention is still bad is separate topic - PA is just bad at what they're doing. But there were changes to every aspect of the game with most recent one being free PEN BS with no need to work for it which was obviously aimed at new and intermediate players.

Agreed; PA is trying to cater to new players, but is struggling to do so.
