When yu're calling a ship to port, you can check weight to see if they are carrying something. But yes it would be simpler if we had a warning OR could just see the cargo the ship is carrying.
if your doing bartering and you you go and do something else while your ship is out and need to call it to warf then it to bad you lose you Mats it part of game and i see to many ship out and this would not be happening if you could go red and kill people ship that are not around like the old day now you leave your ship anywhere and know it will not be sunk the old day were much better
Pretty sure just like when you go to remote collect a horse, there is a message saying you will lose any goods. It pops up regardless of the fact you have goods or not, so perhaps people have just ignored it all the time.
Yeah, no message pops up when you are transporting your character from one city to another, and when you remote collect a horse or ship, the message pops up regardless of whether you have goods or not. People ignore the message because of this, whereas if the message only appeared if you had goods people would pay attention to the message. Similar thing for abandoning quests; if you can't get re-accept the quest again, there should be a special message telling you that, rather than have the same message for all quest types.

If you want to be efficient with barterintg you will probably want to use maps to save yourself a couple minutes here and there (my method is i tag an alt and both my main and alt have traveler's maps and an archeologist map so i can warp a total of four times per session) but if you warp on a boat with the idea to call it to wharf, it requires making damn sure you never forget any bartering item in the ship OR to disembark your sailors from the ship. Ive rarely lost goods but it's happened i got some sailors sick. Eventually in time i got so used to it i almost never forget now. To be fair it's become so much less annoying now that there's a well at oquilla's eye. Like one of main map use was to get from oquilla's eye to illya island on my way back from bartering and doing sailies in margoria. Basically as soon as i'd enter warp range to illya, i'd use a map, but now I don't need to, I just transport the ship to illya and warp to velia with the well than use arch map to get to illya, turn the quests in and then return right away to velia.
Anyway i think you can still attack ships if you're willing to go red? I'm alwuys on arsha though. I do sink any empty ship oi cross but usually these are just people grinding at sycraia
Whoa they just this week fixed this issue as you can now see what's in your ship!
COnsidering this is a 3 days old post i imagine they already were working on this.
I'm glad things are improving; good work PA! Here's hoping the remaining warnings get added.
