Forest fury needs a tweak in drop rates. The best way to grind them right now is by killing Ghosts of Ash Forest, which is absurd. It's not a "real" grind spot, yet it's the most effective. As of right now, there are 32,497 pre-orders on NA. Based on data from Garmoth.com, roughly 200 per day have been sold in the last 2 weeks or so. The next best spot to grind them is Gyfin upper, which is a party spot. Even with maxed out drop rate (Arsha, 50% buff, Ellie's elixir, Dragon King's wine, tent, kama, and blue scroll, you're still only averaging 1 per hour at underground Gyfin. Given how important this item is, the balance rate needs to be adjusted. Either allow it more areas within/near kama (Ash, thornwood, tunkuta) and/or buff the existing rates. If I'm able to grind underground gyfin, I should be able to get more than 1 per hour. On the same 1/hr rate, I can get 150 caphras in an hour. I think receiving 5-10 isn't entirely unreasonable in a place like underground Gyfin.
Another alternative is to put forest fury into certain token rewards. Season seals, weekly coelacanth rewards, seal of undying, etc. If they were added to these seal tables, the drop rate increase in other areas could be lessened so the market doesn't become overly saturated. Averaging 30,000 POs on an item like forest fury is absurd. I'd be fine if there were still POs, but just more coming in per day. It's become such an important item in the game, yet it is upwards of 150x rarer than a caphra stone, which seems ludicrous. This would be an incredibly easy adjustment, since it would just involve adjusting drop rates or adding items to a token shop and would make things much less stressful for those that want to play a shai or extract cups from accessories.
how many furies do you need?
Years ago i wad grinding ronaros for nearly a year and a good part of my income then was sellign forst fury. I wisjh i'd known one day they would become this scarce, i'd have kept them. I probably sold over 2000.
It wasnt as much an issue when peope had reasons to grind most of the kama mobs, but now.... is gyfin even that popular anymore? Everyone's got their pot or is buying them so manshaum and ronaros are empty now.
I'd favor your second option, just put them as currency rewards. Or make them drop in zones outside of kamasylvia, zones that people grind.
how many furies do you need?
When i used to make viper crystals for money, I needed a lot of furies. Well i mean, a couple daily but since i'd wait until i had a lot of viper essence before making them, I could end up needing a 100 everytime i was making crystals.
how many furies do you need?
At the moment, I need 30. I got 10 from killing ghosts so far, but if you think about the number of items that require a forest fury for crafting, it's kind of wild. Here's a list of some:
Vell upgrade stones (10 for blessed, 5 for exalted)
JIN/BON/WON crystals (1 each)
Corrupted magic crystal (3)
Elkar (2)
Rawr-rawr heart (3)
Cup extract (10)
Sol upgrade (20)
Anytime you need to upgrade an accessory, you need 10. I upgraded neck, belt, 2 rings, and an earring to debos, costing 50 total. With new accessories coming out, everyone's going to need to do it again, so I'll be needing another 50 for all of those, and another 10 for my remaining earring. Having to wait days/weeks for a PO to fill, grinding ghosts (and hating yourself while doing it) or only getting like 1 an hour at lower gyfin just isn't reasonable.

Gyfin definitely isn't as popular as it used to be. It's great XP, for sure, but the money isn't really worth it. If you're pushing really high levels, sure, but you're averaging less than 1b an hour there when the only real reason to grind there is for XP, but there are plenty of other places that give decent XP while giving more money. I can't justify going to gyfin when I can just crank out 2b an hour at d2oluns.
bump.
Or just change the formula for removing cups from acccessories.
