Energy of Lakiaro question

I've done 30-40 lakiaro since the last update where the energy would spawn on a probability and the reward would be between 1 and 5.
I have gotten zero. I'm not sure if it's a bug, or unlucky but there's no way for me to know. Is there a way to confirm this is working as intended or if there's an issue?

I did 10 and got 2 energy so just shafted by RNG probably.
