So now with my 6 TET deboreka, if I convert them to Kharazad I will loose the 20 AP set bonus. But yeah I can get them back with the cristal slots if I spend 15B for 5 TET yellow accessories. Convert them to "+4AP". Just to get back what was mine... I can even get +4 AP if I spend an other 3B (EU price, but yeah already no more stocks...).
I need to spend at least 15B to conserve my AP...
So no diversity for cristal slot, it will just be full AP for me.
EDIT:
We will be rewarded with a JIN +4AP each time we convert a TET or PEN Deboreka.
So we will not have to spend 15 to get back our AP But there will be not diversity in the new cristals slots, they will all be +4AP for me. I think it's a shame but well.

- Karazad accessories do not have an equipped set effect. However, like all attack power set effects applied to existing Deboreka accessories, all attack power effects can be obtained from the dedicated specialized crystal slot that opens when equipped with the Karazad accessory.

So I have looked a bit more and we will get the JIN +4AP everytime we convert TET deboreka. 
So we will not have to spend 15 to get back our AP But there will be not diversity in the new cristals slots, they will all be +4AP for me. I think it's a shame but well.

If you're going the AP road, be it through Debo or Karazad, what difference does it make to you?

I just kinda skimmed it all but it seems like you get screwed out of AP if you try to add anything that's not an AP crystal. Every crystal that's NOT an AP crystal negates AP... some of them, up to -25! I guess I'm misunderstanding how, say hypothetically, doing 2 attack, 1 accuracy, 1 defense, 1 evade would be good in the end because you may have added 8 AP with the attack crystals... but you ended up negating it with -57 AP... lower than if you just didn't even use crystals in the first place.
If I did ALL damage reduction crystals, and my current AP is 310, then that would NEGATE 300 AP... I might be gaining 300 DR and turn into a frickin' tank but I'm a tank that can only hit mobs with the force of a soggy breadstick.
I guess I just need to wait and see. Unless it can be explained to me better. Anyways

This is about endgame PvP. The idea is that instead of having a bunch of swapout accessories in your inventory those accessories become crystals instead. In most normal PVE situations you will want the AP crystals. If you wanted to be a lot tankier you would use either the DR or Evasion crystals depending on your class and environment, and if you knew you were going up against an evasion meme player you would want the accuracy crystals.
This actually is an improvement, because A) it becomes a one button swap to reconfigure your character via the crystal presets and B) for about half of your accessories it is saving you the cost of needing a Cup for each of the swapout accessories. Still has an issue with the belt and ring Cups because those have both an offensive and defensive option so you would have to choose.
