If PA reboots the game, what would you like to see changed?

Personally I would like them to completely change the economic model.

The current model based on crons is not at all viable depending on the region

some regions end up with so many cash shop costumes on sale that they are all at the mini price and all the equipment optimization is based on that

while other regions you have about twenty costumes sold per week because of the prices per region are very poorly balanced..

A system with a low cost battle pass like a good part of recent games and which lasts a month and given acces to everything (VP/skin/kama etc) is much more interesting than betting everything on these famous costumes and basing the whole game on it...

and you? what part of the game should be reviewed if one day bdo had to do a reboot like other Korean mmo?

ohh! Oh! I know this one...... the answer is E V E R Y T H I N G

A complete restart wouldn't be needed or advised, but rather implementing progression systems to coincide with the equipment.  This would allow players to combat the equipment focus and some of the P2W design issues.  Instead of just needing fully enchanted BIS there would be an equal level of effort and value put into the leveling/SP systems.  Which in turn can be joined with parties designed for charcter progression and not just loot.

Naturally this would have to be focused on actual game play and not AFK progression or P2W buffs making it absurd.

It's not just a theory as this is the real and working model in which I spent the entire weekend partying with many other players under this exact model.

I don't want there to be BIS stuff. I want it to depend on situation just like every other part of the game.

Uh, I want life skill to be better. I want to be able to travel around more and gather things that have value.

I want the game to not bleed out people as soon as they get past their free gear quests. I think a change in the progression model is necessary. It shouldn't only benefit whales or people like me who are just chilling.

1. Awakening as separate skill tree/class from the normal/succesion. No more mixxing weapons and skills out of nowhere.

Adapt the skills tree to have them separated for each weapon.

2. Char creation with all hairstyles, faces type for all male/female classes. Maybe i wanna be a Warrior with pretty face like Dosa...

Make char races like human, elf, dark elf, orc and dwarf each with body type and maybe some class restrictions.

3. each female and male counter classes, ofc maybe some small adjustments to animations.

cause i want a dark elf with big sword and not dosa having a damn smoking pipe....

4. better boss design art, no more red nose and this type of bosses... bring in some cool art style!

5. demon race mobs to kill! something rly evil waiting to burn the world!

Balanced classes, and more player cooperation.  Keep the world open, keep it PvPvE, but give players more reasons to cooperate rather than compete.  PA needs to stop being a big-brother and let players be free to play as they wish.

Balance between lifeskilling and grinding.  Both should be lucrative.

Game content should be balanced and meaning restored.  Right now the only reason to play is to farm Loml bosses, to get a sovereign weapon from some bird statue........ to do what exactly?  We need clear goals.

No new content should be released until it gets a high approval rating on global labs.  No more copy/paste, buggy, DoA content.

Sountrack should be reworked so that music corresponds to a particular place and setting, rather than a potporri of meaningless "regional" tunes.  This travesty must end.

Actually, if they just ditched everything and brought back servers from late 2021, and started rebuilding off that and went a different direction with everything, actually improving things instead of scrapping them, I'd be happy.

The story could use a complete rework.  Serendia II should never have existed and Calpheon II should be restored,  Professional writers should be hired for the job.  Good voice acting should never be replaced with something a step down.....

And that's just a start.......

If they reboot the game, I will have to pass and move on.

I hate to say this, but I can't start over from scratch, not after all the time and effort we've invested in the game so far.

I understand that, with the new catch-up mechanics, it wouldn't take me long to catch up again. However, people often forget the challenges of Black Desert Online from 2017 to 2019, before the new central market was introduced. We all struggled just to obtain a halfway decent accessory or even boss armor.

After eight years of gameplay, many of us made our biggest advancements in the last two to three years.

I have no desire to go through the questlines, redo all the books, or chase after a dream horse—the list goes on and on. Sorry, but I will have to pass.

There is no thing that can make me start to play this game again from zero, if they decide to wipe.

Mainly, because I dont believe they will ever listen to feedback and adjust accordingly.

There is a reason they completely ignore everything - feedback doesnt matter, they gave up on this game, it will still run for some time, until so few players remain that it would be cheaper to just shutdown servers and lay off personnel.

Under capitalism, The Company understands only one language - money. If enough people unsub, The Company actually wakes up and starts fixing stuff, but we dont pay sub in BDO, so we cant affect in any way what this company does, and many of us alrady paid way above usual 15$/month in cash shop, so the company got their profits from us.

I will never play any korean mmo again, and possibly no other moo, because there is no guarantee that some new CEO or dev lead will not screw things up with stupid decisions they announce as 'improvement'.

OOH, actually I take back what I said. What I want to see is group content! Oh my gosh. You know, for all of its flaws, and I kinda think stuff like pvp is a flaw (even tho it plays well) due to how gated it is (and I still enjoy pvp even as a gearlet, just saying,) if you could actually get that true mmo adventure feel with BDO graphics and world, that would be so awesome. That is the biggest part that is lacking: group adventures.

They don't need to do like the others and start from 0

they can keep or convert the progression of their players but modify everything on the server side / the progression / the game management and make sure that we start from a good base

But to have a good base they have to resolve certain internal problems that they have and that directly impact us like the regular massacre of the progression of the players or the bugs that take 5 years to be fixed or the stubbornness of certain managers..
