Crystal break is stupid. It doesn't make the game better to die to lag and I only get 3 do-over chances a YEAR before I'm risking crystals, some worth close to or over a billion.

There's so many things PA could do, short of just deleting the mechanic. Give crystals durability, so they don't break outright. Or let us have more restores. Why not per month? Why not per week? The sun will most likely not collapse if you make it so I don't lose an item because the game or my internet faltered. I don't want the spots to be nerfed. That's not the issue. Its frustrating to get punished by a mechanic when its out of my control.

I think that if they can't implement some sort of reliable detection of disconnected players and add some form of protection to them on top of that, then crystal breakage should not be nearly as punishing. Any high AP grind zone, 2 seconds of interupted connection is all it takes. Crystal sets are pushing 20B these days, any of them breaking removes an hour or two minimum of progress.

More frequent restores, much less frequent breakage,  or just letting us pay a percentage of the market value (or a flat value) to have them restored on the spot would be much better. Let us turn all the crystals into a repair item. Creates an item sink for the useless ones. There are so many better options here. 

Losing crystals because BDO disconnects me will be probably the reason I will quit the game. And yeah my internet is super stable. Everything runs perfect except for one application.

But if they do it what would you do with the crystals what the game offers for like party bosses or for guild bosses etc? They are alredy at min price but nobody buying them. They would just sitting in the market for no reason like the primordial stones for sov weapons.
