In the crystal of fate patch notes, PA acknowledged a major problem with the current enhancement system, specifically the high cost of enhancement. However, because the enhancement chance is so low, and cannot be increased, enhancing gear with crystal of fate ends up costing more on avarage (assuming use of memory fragments, which you will need to do if you are doing any significant amount of enhancement).

Overall, PA has is not addressing the core difficulty here, which is that enhancing gear, (and game progression in general), is too costly and has too low odds of success, which turns away many potential players.

These crystals are an absolute joke with the enhancement % chances.

Litterally just to suck memory fragments out of the economy.
