I can't look at Storage Keepers atm, but it is available in the World Map.

Patch notes:
- Improved so that you can sell items stored in storage other than the current town's storage or move them to the Central Market warehouse.

- Please note that this function is only available if all [The Magnus] quests are completed.
- Removed the Transport button that appears when selecting another town's storage. However, if [The Magnus] quests are not all completed, the Transport button will still be displayed.

Yep, they forgot about some other use cases.
As for being able to move items to warehouse from any storage, need a way to change storages without having to exit the warehouse UI.
But hey, this way they get more future opportunities to engage in their favorite activity, "improving" things.
