Why is fishing exhausted in Velia when server just opened today? Even in non safe zones. Last night before maintenance it was abundant. tia. 

it's a miracle there's still water considering the amount of AFK fishing it endures every day.

PA, can we please move AFK fishing spot out of Velia? it is ridiculous to get performance hit due to millions of people and their horses near the storage NPC. 

also it is awful to do daily quests for ocean tear as quest spot is crowded with AFKers. Please separate quest spot and AFK spot.

Yes, you are so right, but there should have been fish there right after reset. I was not in safe zone either, and still exhausted.

Pearl Abyss has finally caught onto your fishing scheme. They are planning to configure all areas together, which means you can say goodbye to the abundant fishing opportunities after May 28, when they patch the Valencia 3 loophole.

We will also see a decrease in the temporary inflated login numbers from players who are AFK fishing. Once this patch goes live, your profits will drop by 50-70%, making AFK fishing no longer worth staying logged in for, LOL.

I’m really glad I’m not involved in all this. It’s easier to laugh at the poor decisions that Pearl Abyss makes, which often end up backfiring on them. Even dogs don’t like to poop where they sleep!

That's normal. The being abundant all the time wasn't. And unless you have been only fishing for like 3 weeks you knew that. Now the fishing contest moves us around so some areas aren't exhausted as fast. We found a loophole the guy above said which was nice

Maybe it wasn't the Val3 exploit that OP was referring to? And Velia Beach had already been noted as one of the areas not affected by that. Maybe they were talking about the post-maintenance fishing status which is usually abundant or average immediately after maintenance - ?

I don't recall ever seeng fish in towns (always exhausted). It probably goes red almost immediately.

Yes it does go red very fast. I was on the beach at Coastal Cliff and that usually stays Abundant a little longer. I know nothing about a Val3 exploit, so it wasn't that I was questioning. Thanks for all the answers.
