Hey everyone,
I want to talk about something that’s been frustrating me for a while – and I think many of you feel the same way.
There are tons of essential items on the Central Market with hundreds of pre-orders, and yet... nothing ever shows up. Why?
Because it’s simply not worth it for players to sell them.
Take rare alchemy materials, trace items, dusts, or grind-only drops – things that are:
-
mandatory for gear progression or life skilling,
-
time-consuming to gather,
-
and yet worth like... 5,000 silver?
And then we wonder why nobody is listing them.
💡 The problem:
-
The market value is laughably low compared to the time/effort it takes to farm those items.
-
The min/max price limits on the market make it impossible for players to set fair prices.
-
Players just keep or trash the items rather than waste time listing them.
Meanwhile, the Central Market has pages of pre-orders sitting forever and a market that's clearly broken.
🔄 My Questions to You:
-
Shouldn't PA rethink the price regulation system?
-
What are some items that you personally need but can never find, no matter how much silver you offer?
-
Would a free-market system (or dynamic price scaling) work better?
BDO is an amazing game, but the market system right now actively punishes sellers and leaves buyers helpless.
We either need more incentives to list or better price scaling that reflects actual effort.
Would love to hear your thoughts. Let's make some noise – maybe PA will finally take notice.
Thanks for reading!
The CM needs to be able to adjust it's own absoulte top and absolute minimum. If it sits for months at absolute min, the min should start dropping. If it sits at absolute top, the top needs to start going up. IE why are alchemy stones that cost 8 trillion to make capped at 33 billion silver?
Banger of a first post. Kudos on identifying the single most problematic thing in the game.
The CM needs a huge overhaul on how it conducts itself. The listing and orders behavior is unacceptable.
Items that are in high demand need to be given a higher price limit, and items that are grossly misunderstood (alchemy stones) need to be adjusted by a PA admin who actually plays the game.
The reason lifeskilling is so dead in BDO is because of this market malfunction.
It's a decent market, mostly to prevent RMT I believe and stop massive amounts of price gouging lol
Market shouldn't be set free - it would end up in massive wave of bots, rmt's etc. Instead devs should put more effort in adjusting prices.
