I've been trying to download BDO today after the transition to Pearl Abyss was announced. I own a non-Steam account so I went and downloaded it from the NAEU site as per usual. As you can see in the first image, I managed to login and apparently the download started - though the download speed is quite low for me. I should be able to download with 30mb/s and I'm only getting around 6mb/s.

What I've tried so far:

- I checked the steam download, and the download speed there works fine with the desired 30 mb/s. I can't login to it with a non-steam account so that doesn't matter.

- I tried turning on and off my PC as well as the launcher, my router and the ethernetadapter inside of windows.

- I checked the Task manager and as you can see in the second Image it also says its only using 54 mbit/s (~6mb/s).

- I've tried turning on and off IPv6 on my router. no change in download speed what so ever.

- I checked the launcher settings though, there seem to be none except those for the "game settings" where you can change resolution, video graphics settings etc.

Is there any way to get the speed up to par or are the servers not supporting such bandwidth?

Servers support such bandwidth since some people don't have the issue your report. If servers were faulty, everybody would face the same issue.

Are you sure that your ISP isn't throttling your network throughoutput ? Are you patching during peak times in your country ? Some ISP use bandwith sharing bewteen customers instead of delivering guaranteed bandwith per customer.

To trouble shoot this, you can try using a VPN during patching which will change the route used by your network packets and allow you to see potential issues with your ISP routing.

Count yourself lucky with 5..  I'm stuck at 1.08MB/s...

...Guess I'll download it overnight. 

hey im stuck with 243KB/s my download is going to take 56 hours yall are lucky

I don't know if any of you use VPN, but if you do then close it because when I've mine open it bottleneck the dowload speed depending of what server I'm using, but when is closed the launcher download at max speed always.

FIX

Win Key + R,

littel tab on yourt left screen will open, type in CMD (for those whom wonder its called command prompt)

type in the folowing commands:

ipconfig /release (releasees your current ip address)

ipconfig /renew (renews your ip address)

workd for me like a charm.
