Warrior has always been one of my favorite classes, if not the favorite. When you think of MMOs, the Warrior is often the most iconic class — standing at the front lines, right in the heart of battle. The class has always offered a unique playstyle, allowing players to choose between an aggressive or defensive approach.
However, in recent times, Warriors have lost much of their ability to play aggressively due to the rise of highly mobile classes and an increasing number of crowd control abilities — from ranged and AoE CCs to those that can even bypass Forward Guards. As a result, the class has started to fall behind compared to newer or reworked classes.
I believe a few targeted adjustments could help Warrior stay competitive without breaking game balance. For example, Charging Thrust, the Warrior’s main mobility skill, currently relies on Forward Guard (FG). In today’s BDO environment — where most classes have an abundance of protected CCs — using our primary movement skill feels extremely risky. This often forces Warriors into a defensive playstyle, spending more time behind Q Block and remaining stationary, with only a single i-frame available.
By giving Charging Thrust Super Armor (SA) instead of Forward Guard, Warriors would once again have the option to play aggressively and reposition more safely, without being overly vulnerable. We would still have FG-based movement skills such as Frenzied Dash and Shield Charge, which provide openings for skilled opponents to punish — something I think is healthy for game balance. Players should be rewarded for reading and countering those moves.
Another helpful change would be restoring the Bound CC effect to Ground Smash — possibly by swapping out the CC from Deep Thrust. Bringing back Bound on Ground Smash would give Warriors a valuable counterplay option against “Block Jump” abilities. These are teleport-style skills that allow certain classes — such as Ninja, Kunoichi, Sage, Dark Knight, Sorceress, Maegu, and Hashashin — to instantly reposition behind their target. The Bound would not guarantee a catch, but it would introduce a skill-based counter option through proper timing, keeping Block Jump abilities viable while giving Warriors a fair chance to respond.
Yo those are some really good ideas, i hope PA pick at least one of those i am so tired of it feels like forever sitting in Q waiting to grab someone.
Or give frenzied dash 8sec CD, iframe, nocollision, knockback (bypass fg with nocollision), and an SA hit part that deals 4200 3hits (46%pvp) amount of damage. Mby also make it a 10% bsr that dismounts and deals even more damage. Sounds reasonable to me.
Hope all confused people who are insta triggered by this realize i just described Impaling Flash.
