Individual & Party Elixir Consolidation

We've improved elixirs so you no longer need to craft [Party] versions to use them in a party.
Simply using a normal elixir will grant its effects and duration to any party members in the vicinity.
We sought to implement this change so our adventurers won't have to spend loads of time crafting elixirs specific to party content. Any Aal's Tear purchased to craft party elixirs can be sold back to vendors for their purchase price.
  • Improved the normal versions of 95 elixirs to now apply their effects to all members in a party.
    • Any affected elixirs have had their icon changed to their party version.

Gathering Tool Simplification

We're streamlining a variety of low-tier gathering tools into Magical gathering tools, and in the process, the Magical gathering tools have their equipment level restrictions removed. For those new to gathering, you can take advantage of the tools offered by material vendors, which now have a Gathering Time Reduction of 8 sec effect. As you progress, you'll be able to explore a wider range of gathering activities with the Magical gathering tools. And for those looking to delve deeper into gathering, the Loggia/Dostter/Manos gathering tools will help you grow into a seasoned Life adventurer.

1st Black Stone Simplification

In today's update, we've streamlined the Black Stones, just as we promised. Previously, different Black Stones were used depending on the type of weapon or armor. Now, we've consolidated them into a single type for each category. Given that Black Stones have been a staple in Black Desert and a constant companion to our adventurers, we're ensuring they remain useful across all game aspects.
 
Today's update is the first phase of this simplification, focusing on usage, crafting recipes, and exchange formulas. In the next phase, we'll streamline the methods for acquiring these items, encompassing various game content, quests, login rewards, boxes, and packages.
 
As part of this first phase, we've unified the enhancement materials that were previously divided between weapons and armor. Until the second phase of simplification is implemented, you can exchange any existing armor enhancement Black Stones you obtain via the Black Spirit.
 
Once all these simplifications are complete, we'll also update the names of the enhancement materials to reflect these changes.

No More Weapon/Armor Distinction for Enhancement Materials

2nd Black Stone Simplification

Following improvements made to the usage during the first Black Stone simplification, the second simplification brings we have also streamlining of the acquisition process. Along with this, the Black Stone, which was once divided into (Weapon) and (Armor), has now been unified under the same name "Black Stone".

Obtaining Black Stone (Armor) via various methods such as crafting, opening boxes, life skills, exchanges, shops, etc., will now be a mere memory. (Just like when Silver had weight, it will remain a topic of conversation Back in the day Black Stones were divided into weapons/armor!)Any simplified Black Stones have now all been distributed as the new unified Black Stone, and we have made sure that any Black Stones you acquire will maintain the same value as before, which we hope allows for a more convenient adventure. With this update, we have now concluded the simplification work on Black Stone (Weapon & Armor) which has been carried out in two separate stages, and we will continue to work hard and prepare to present the simplification for other types of Black Stones too.

Black Stone (Armor) Items Removal

  • Removed Black Stone (Armor), Concentrated Magical Black Stone (Armor), and Hard Black Crystal Shard: The same number of Black Stone, Concentrated Magical Black Stone, and Sharp Black Crystal Shard have been distributed in their previous slots.
* If the same items are stored in different slots in your Inventory, you can store them in one slot by putting them in Storage and taking them out.

How to Obtain

  • [Crafting] Completed one of any on-going Black Stone (Armor) crafting at the Refinery, and cancelled the remaining ones.
    • Stopped worker's repeated tasks and sent completed Black Stones to your Heidel Storage
  • [Farming] Removed Hard Black Crystal Shard, which could be obtained via Pruning and Killing Pests. Sharp Black Crystal Shard now be obtained with the equivalent acquisition probability of Hard Black Crystal Shard.
  • [Gathering, Hunting] Removed Hard Black Crystal Shard, which could be obtained via Gathering and Hunting. Sharp Black Crystal Shard now be obtained with the equivalent acquisition probability of Hard Black Crystal Shard.
  • [Exchange] Changed Black Stone (Armor) items to be unavailable for exchange with certain seals.
  • [Shop] Removed Black Stone (Armor) and Hard Black Crystal Shard, which could be purchased from Patrigio's Secret Shop, and replaced them with Black Stone and Sharp Black Crystal Shard.
  • [Black Spirit's Adventure] Changed the items that can be obtained.
    • Black Stone (Armor) → Black Stone
    • Concentrated Magical Black Stone (Armor) → Concentrated Magical Black Stone
    • Hard Black Crystal Shard → Sharp Black Crystal Shard

Traces, Fruits, and Essences - 1st Simplification (Usage)

In today's update, the usage of Trace, Fruit, and Essence items is simplified. These items are tied to a myriad of content in terms of where they're used and found. Much like our previous overhaul of Black Stone (Weapons/Armor), we're first simplifying how these items are used, with plans to streamline how they're obtained in the future.

  • If you were crafting an item with a changed recipe via house production, the crafted item was delivered to your Heidel Storage after one completion.

* Following the above item simplification, the existing Trace/Fruit/Essence items that are no longer utilized can be exchanged via the Black Spirit.            
- However, some quests that require pre-simplified items may not progress smoothly if all items are exchanged for the simplified items.            
 * This issue will be addressed so that quests can proceed smoothly with the simplified items once the simplification process is fully completed.            
* Related Adventurer's Guide entries will be updated to reflect the simplification of Traces, Fruits, and Essences.

Green Grade Horse Gear Simplification

Green-grade horse gear, previously divided by type and equip effect, has been simplified.
 
These simplified horse gears were designed according to specific concepts, but most adventurers have been using the Storm gear. To allow adventurers to make more meaningful use of green-grade horse gear, the equip effects of horse gear have been integrated and "Movement Speed Decrease" has been removed.
 
We'll also be continuing our work to simplify items that need it in the future.
