Fish Guide

We've revamped the Fish Guide to bring more fun to those adventurers who love fishing.
Landing a massive catch that others haven't or catching a rare fish can be a fisher's badge of honor. We hope our adventurers can create their own proud memories while enjoying fishing in Black Desert, so we have prepared this.
With the Fish Guide update, the "Weekly Fishing Contest," where adventurers can compete to see who is the most skilled and lucky fisher, is planned to be opened for adventurers. [Fish Guide UI Changes]
① Now able to search for fish within the Fish Guide.
② Now displays progress for each category: Freshwater, Saltwater, Crustacean, and Other.
③ Improved to allow checking information on fish not yet caught by clicking on each species.
④ Now measures fish size to three decimal places, displaying the adventurer who caught the largest fish of each species along with its size.
⑤ Now displays information on the rank of your fish size compared to the average size of each fish species.

* Information on fish rarity is displayed according to actual fish grade.
* Added knowledge images for 48 fish species that previously lacked them.
- Changed the system message displayed when catching fish to show the fish size to third decimal places.
- Added a UI that indicates when a fish larger than your max record is caught.

- An icon is displayed when a fish larger than your max record is caught.
- Press the icon to open the "New Max Size" window, where you can check the type and size of the caught fish.

- You can move to the Fish Guide through the button at the bottom of the display.
- Closing the display will also make the icon vanish.
- Improved the UI in the Fish Guide to easily compare discovered fish with undiscovered fish.

Weekly Fishing Contest
First off, a big thank you to all the adventurers who joined the Weekly Fishing Contests over the last three weeks. We're excited to announce that the contest is becoming official content, not just a temporary event.
We've expanded the number of winners to 300, so more adventurers can share in the victory. We've also thrown in some new titles and special furniture to spark your competitive spirit.
Keep an eye on the Weekly Fishing Contest each week, and we hope you make some brag-worthy memories.
- Now recognized as official content, the Weekly Fishing Contest will be held weekly.
- Adjusted target fish to refresh every Sunday at 00:00 (UTC) —one Prize, one Rare, and one High-quality species.
- Ranks are determined based on the max size of each target fish caught during the week, with rewards issued accordingly.
- Rewards are distributed every Sunday after 00:20 (UTC).
- You must claim your rewards before the next contest begins, otherwise they will be forfeited.
