Greetings, Adventurers! This is the Black Desert Studio.
The gateway to Edania—a realm where chaos and order, good and evil, exist side by side—has finally opened. In this new chapter, you'll face powerful Bosses, uncover their secrets, dive into various combat and subjugation content, enjoy new Life Skill content, and discover brand-new gear. We've crafted this update to let you experience Black Desert's magic all over again.
This time, you'll have the chance to shape history yourself with the journey to "Throne of Edana." Claiming one of the five thrones could make you a wise ruler or a ruthless overlord. But this path isn't for everyone—you'll need to defeat the bosses guarding each throne, so make sure you're ready for the challenge.
As always, the world of Black Desert comes alive with your stories. We hope you'll become a beacon of hope in Edania, restore order, and write a new chapter in our shared history.
Many of you have asked about monster zone profits and Cron Stone prices after the release of Edania. To be clear, there won't be any Cron Stone price changes for now. At this stage, we want to help more adventurers enjoy Edania. Think of it as building more "ladders" for everyone. For now, our focus is on making things more accessible and fun, especially with the ongoing combat and monster zone updates. If adjustments are needed in the future, we'll let you know when the time comes.
Finally, we're committed to making this first Edania update and the second one, coming September 11, the best they can be. Enjoy your adventure in Edania. Thank you.
[Edania] Main Questline
Edania Pre-Quest
- At Velandir Castle in Ulukita, the Society of Equilibrium is still investigating Edania, trying to uncover the truth behind the widespread rumors.
- You can start the Edania main questline after completing the pre-quest below.
- If your character is Lv. 60 or higher, you can accept the Edania pre-quest regardless of your current main quest progress.
You can now jump right into the Edania main questline with any character at level 60 or higher.
When we first prepared this questline, our plan was to have everyone complete all of the Atoraxxion main quests beforehand, so that you could fully experience the overarching story. However, we felt it would be better to leave that choice to each adventurer, and decided it was more meaningful to make the content widely accessible so more players could enjoy Edania.
For those who truly enjoy the story, we still recommend completing the Atoraxxion main quests before starting Edania. Either way, we hope you have a memorable adventure in Edania.

Edania Adventure Log
- Added a new adventure log featuring stories from outside Edania. [Menu (ESC) - Adventure (F5) - Adventure Log]
- This log includes seven unique stories, and midway through, you'll get to choose which tale you want to follow next.
- Select a story in the adventure log, and you'll be guided straight to its starting point.
- To keep the story flowing smoothly, you can't pick up another story until you finish the one you're working on.

- Once you've completed the Hakinza Sanctuary and Aetherion questlines, you can select and begin one of three questlines.
- Note: On the Aug 21, 2025 (Thu) maintenance, only the questlines for Hakinza Sanctuary, Aetherion, Orbita, and Nymphamaré are updated.
- Tenebraum, Zephyros, and Edania questlines will be added with the Sept 11, 2025 (Thu) maintenance.
- The Adventure Log Bookshelf will be merged with this new adventure log in the future.

- Uncovering these relics can earn you special rewards.
- Complete certain trials tied to Edana's Legacy, and you'll be rewarded with Primordial Fragments and Gold Bars.

- You can travel to Edania from other regions using The Magnus' Abyssal Veins.

New Nodes and Production Nodes
- In Edania, connecting nodes and buying houses each only cost 1 Contribution Point.
- Additionally, you can activate production nodes by spending 1 Contribution Point.
- Among Edania’s nodes, Aal’s Revelation and Shore of Ruins each have houses where you can invest Contribution Points.
