Crashing waves break the silence of the sea, and the scent of war hangs heavy in the air. At last, the hour has come for the Blue Battlefield to emerge before Adventurers.

The Blue Battlefield invites guilds and alliances to clash upon the open sea, battling for control of island nodes aboard mighty ships, under rules akin to the current Node War - Occupation Mode. We have crafted this new adventure for Captains who cherish the boundless waters of Black Desert.

The roar of cannon fire echoes across turbulent waters—the Blue Battlefield is now open.
- Blue Battlefield will undergo a trial period until the Dec 4, 2025 (Thu) maintenance, after which it will be officially updated.

Blue Battlefield Objectives & Rewards

Blue Battlefield
Blue Battlefield is a guild-based PvP mode in Black Desert where adventurers use ships to battle for control over forts located on various islands. Work together with your guild to capture and defend these forts, sink enemy guild carracks and galleys, and secure victory. To win, occupy a fort created for Blue Battlefield and defend it until the end. Sink enemy guild carracks and galleys to protect your claim. Hold your ground until the fort is finally secured.

How to Apply

You can apply for the Blue Battlefield as follows.

Application Method	Guild Master or a member with "Apply for Node War" authority can apply via the Blue Battlefield button (Balenos Sea) found in Menu (ESC) → War (F7) → Node War
Participants	Max 20 (same for guild & alliance, War Hero cannot participate)
Confirmation	15 minutes before the battle begins, participating guilds are finalized. (You can check the list in the Node War menu.)
* Guild members can change their participation status in Blue Battlefield via Guild (G) → Guild Member Status tab.

To join Blue Battlefield or Node War, your guild must have a Node War Participation Opportunity, which resets every Saturday after the Conquest War.
- For Blue Battlefield, your spent participation opportunity will be refunded if:
  - your guild/alliance has a combined total of 10 or more allied/enemy ships destroyed or temporarily occupies a fort at least once
- You can only have one Node War Participation Opportunity at a time. Once you use your participation opportunity in either the Node War or Blue Battlefield, you won't be able to join other content.
  e.g., if you apply for Blue Battlefield and use your Node War Participation Opportunity there, you won't be able to take part in the Node War on the same day.

Blue Battlefield Rules

Blue Battlefield takes place in the Balenos Sea.
- Depending on the number of participating guilds, forts will spawn on the following islands.

Blue Battlefield fort tiers are as follows:

Battles last 20-60 min; end time is randomized.
- Some forts may have a “?” end time.
- Fort placement rules in Blue Battlefield, as in Occupation Node War, are determined by the number of participating guilds and the participation status of guild and alliance members 15 minutes before the war begins.
  - At that point, you can't switch your participating status.
  - If a guild or alliance cancels its Node War application, the participation status for all members will be reset to "No".

End Times

End times are randomly set to the following:

Minimum 20 min to maximum 60 min

and

some forts have "?" end times

During the battle, you can track active forts and remaining time via the World Map and widget on the right.
- Forts can be attacked by other guilds, losing durability. The guild that depletes the fort's durability temporarily occupies it.

* Attacking forts with characters does negligible damage—use ship cannons for real impact.

When a fort's timer ends, the guild/alliance currently occupying it becomes the final owner.
- Only one fort can be secured per day per guild/alliance.
- If a guild holds multiple forts, only the first one held until the end counts; others revert to neutral.

Blue Battlefield Ships

The following big ships can participate in Blue Battlefield:

Guild Galley Improved Guild Galley	Can carry multiple guild members on the inner deck and port/starboard sides. Strategically distribute members across the deck and cannons to ensure your presence on the battlefield. (Assign crew to the inner deck for the "Cap'n's Orders" minigame, which can grant "Fair Winds: BreezySail" for increased mobility. Assign crew to cannons for direct fire on forts and ships.) * The inner deck and Cap'n's Orders are exclusive to Improved Guild Galleys. TIP: Galleys take little damage from other ships but deal massive damage to forts. Crew must manually aim and fire, so attacking stationary forts is easier than moving ships.
Epheria Galleon	Personal ship, available for limited time via special barters. No crew, but tougher plating than Epheria Carracks. Similar firepower compared to Epheria Carracks. TIP: Galleons are sturdy but can be overwhelmed by multiple Epheria Carracks. Focus on defending and targeting vulnerable enemy galleys.
Epheria Carrack	Versatile personal ship. Carrack cannons can damage forts but are best used to escort friendly galleys or destroy enemy galleys for tactical advantage. TIP: To win on the Blue Battlefield, hold your fort for as long as possible. Destroy enemy galleys by engaging more aggressively with the escorting guild ships.
Panokseon	Personal ship with high durability and large cabin for crew assignment. Carrack cannons can damage forts but are best used to escort friendly galleys or destroy enemy galleys for tactical advantage. Unique skill: "Death's-Pivot: SmoothTurn" allows the ship to rotate in place and fire port/starboard cannons alternately.
Other Ships	Destroyers, Traders, Improved Epheria Frigates, Epheria Sailboats, etc., can also be used.

* Blue Battlefield System

1. During Blue Battlefield, Oquilla Current does not apply. Ship movement stats (Speed, Accel, Turn, Brake) are reduced by 30%. For Epheria Carrack - Volante, stats are reduced by 15%.
2. Ships destroyed or collected remotely will neither reduce sailors' satiation nor cause illness. Trading/barter goods are lost as usual.
3. Ship repair and mount resurrection items cannot be used on the battle server and war time.
4. Annexes and siege weapons cannot be built within the battlefield.

Added a new Panokseon skill: Death's-Pivot: SmoothTurn.
- This skill is available from Sailing Master 1.

Blue Battlefield Guild Skills

Added guild skills exclusive for Blue Battlefield.
- These skills will also apply to alliance members.
- Seawatch Pulse is automatically applied to guilds occupying a fort.
- You can change the color of enemy ships detected on the World Map (M) with Seawatch Pulse by adjusting guild color settings under Guild (G) → Guild Information.

Assemble!

10 minutes before Blue Battlefield begins, the "Assemble!" button appears at the top right.
- Pressing it teleports each guild to a random coordinate in one of these areas:
  - Velia
  - Iliya Island
  - Lema Island

Caution! If you have a ship out, it will be remotely collected to the local wharf.
(No sailor satiation loss or sickness on remote collection, but any trading/barter goods on board are destroyed to prevent abuse.)

If you have no ship out, use the Wharf Manager's Transport function to retrieve stored ships.
Guild ships out at the start will be remotely collected, so keep them in the Guild Wharf.

Blue Battlefield Quality-of-Life Features

If your ship is destroyed during Blue Battlefield, you can revive at one of these wharfs via a special UI:
- You can instantly resurrect when your character dies in Blue Battlefield.

Names of other adventurers are now visible from farther away in the Blue Battlefield.
- You can see info for allies/enemies on ships faster.

Set guild colors via "Set Node/Conquest War Guild Colors" for easier identification of other guilds.
- Use the icons available via Guild (G) - Guild Information.

Blue Battlefield Participation & Victory Rewards

Guilds that secure a fort at the end receive the following node tax as guild funds according to fort tier:
- Guild funds are normally obtained by completing guild missions and can be used for allowances, bonuses, and guild item purchases.

Guilds who participate or achieve victory in Blue Battlefield will obtain the following Family buffs for 48 hours.

  - Given to all guild/alliance members who secure a fort.
- Participation Buff Conditions
  - Given if your guild/alliance temporarily occupies a fort at least once and has a combined total of 10 or more allied and enemy ships destroyed, without final victory.

- Given if your guild/alliance temporarily occupies a fort at least once and has a combined total of 10 or more allied and enemy ships destroyed, without final victory.

A box holding a sea crystal infused with mysterious, concentrated power from the ocean's depths. Contains yellow-grade or higher Sea Crystal crafting materials.

  - Margoria Crystal x1

Additional rewards are issued to the top contributor in the winning guild for Blue Battlefield.
