Currently, Shai is struggling to keep up in current “endgame” PvE content.
With the introduction of Elvia and the increased jump of monster defense stats, Shai is not able to keep up. We are upwards of 30% behind the average.

Our skills physically miss monsters due to their movement and the small hitboxes on Florang skills
We lack raw AP available to other classes via Dandelion +Damage/Blackstar +Monster AP/T3 Addons, causing us to not be even capable of effectively grinding the same spots at the same Sheet AP.
We are incapable of realistically grinding without Misty Haze ( 구름막 ) available for every group of monsters, the 30 second cooldown is too restrictive.
Shai just requires more effort for less reward.

This has led to the Shai population dwindling with every passing day…..
We want to be an AMAZING support class
We want MORE options to support our groups
We want to be decent in Solo PvE
We want to be desirable for Group PvE
We want to be (barely) adequate for Solo PvP

We would like the Class we were promised on release. 

We love the Buff/Debuff management playstyle, but we spend too much time on it currently.

We need more of a time buffer on the maintenance of those Talent skills.

 

Addons as a Shai are an ongoing issue. We spend so much time buffing/debuffing or other actions that do not involve hitting things, that we cannot maintain meaningful uptime on addons where we need them. We think they should be removed and their effects added into our base kit.

Core Skills... While I understand Core Skills do not make sense for the Shai Talent kit, we should have gotten SOMETHING instead.

Shai is more vulnerable to damage and crowd control effects than most other classes.
We would like more tools and built-in defense to deal with this.

Shai currently has no option to provide DP to allies.
We would like that as well.

Our Florang Aoe sizes are a probelm. It would be nice to have some more GOOD damage options in Talent for large packs and group content where we are mostly using Talent anyways.


A large portion of the Shai community as well as Myself have weighed in on a list of things we think would accomplish those things in the current PvE “endgame”.

Long Term Changes to Make Shai a more COMPLETE class
Shai is an amazing class. I and many others have been playing since the day Shai released on the Global Lab.. But Shai has never felt like a finished or complete class.
The Shai Community and I have put together a list of changes/ideas to help Shai finally feel finished.

 

Our PvP Modifiers put us at an extra disadvantage versus a few classes. These need to be normalized with the rest of our modifiers. While maintaining the lower than average damage, overall.

 

As Shai main, not being able to tag my PEN sol to another class, while the item holds the same value as a PEN Dandelion is unacceptable.

Our over-reliance on Quick Slots makes Shai hard to manage and makes us feel slow and clunky. Adding Succession style key inputs to Talent would help us to be better/more active supports and reduce those problems.

Our Heals and Support options feel lackluster in comparison to Witch/Wizard/Valk.
We would like more.

Our roleplaying and life-skill related passives, while "cute", do not provide any meaningful bonus.
We would like passives that reward people for playing Shai and also boost her support capabilities.

Our Artina Sol is currently incapable of getting to the Sheet AP levels of a Dandelion at Caphras level 20 or Pen Blackstar Awakening Weapon.

This NEEDS to be fixed.

Hopefully someone at PA can see this and at least consider some of these changes because it would at least bring a little inline with other classes in PvE. Be nice not feeling like a forgotten class for once.

I don't know what 99% of that means, I do agree with your statement that Shai is shit in PvE, I remember when I used to play Shai that if I wanted to be extremely effective at playing her I had to constantly spin around the mobs in a fashion so that my AD+LMB woulld hit constantly, while also Doing this Forward backward dance so that my RMB skills would all also hit.  I got fed up with the 90 billion hits and only having 12 of them land, but having my weapon durability chewed up like I swung 90 billion times.  I got her to 61.70% Tet Kz, Tet Artina (never got it to pen SADGE), and Pen Kutum (weapon swapped once I found a new main).  One day I just got fed up with being 50% effective on her than every other class, So I melted her costumes, and did a full hard reroll, she now sits at Vell until I need to repair my Galleass or I need to bottle her energy.  She actually is logged in for 10 minutes a week (durring vell), and additional hour somewhere throught the month for energy bottling and ship restocking.

As a shai main, its sad when my skills miss a lot. im hoping for the global labs on the 26th thatt will fix some things, but the class being clunky as you have to rely on hotbars to apply buffs and debuffs, as well as not being able to heal as well as a valk or witchard, feels discouraging at times

I think all of these changes to Shai would be great.

 

I mained Shai until Sage came out, by the time Sage came out I was so tired of bieng weak at PVE that I took all my AP gears and played Sage for grinding.

 

That said one of the biggest annoyances that I have playing Shai is casting time of Songs, as well as the slow slow animation from swapping.

 

Aside from animation cancels we need to have a skill with 30 second cooldown for instant cast 5s.

 

While the intention of PA for Shai was to be a support / lifeskill class, in nodewars there are many times its impossible to cast songs before getting CC due to slow animations... 

 

We really need instant buff cast skill

Just a small note, Pa has never once called Shai a "lifeskill class". Unique, yes... Whimsical.... but "lifeskill class", never once. The Original release notes and Heidel ball (pre release) explicitly said that Shai would be competetive in PvE, weak in PvP combat (in the sense of killing balls of people like a Wizard), and a good support in PvP. 
Kakao fudged 1 translation on a patch notes and the community ran with the label.

Speed is a solution for sure, personally think a FG added to the start of everything would fix a lot as well.

I 100% agree 

 

If PA does not want to give shai any reasonable attack power, at least make us much much faster. FG would help, maybe an iframe also.
