the fact that there is a demand for items in the marketplace and no supply MEANS THAT THE COMMUNIST SYSTEM INPLACE HAS FAILED.

The set prices are in place to combat gold sellers. If it weren't there, they could buy items worth nothing that are hardly traded from the player purchasing their services for exorbatent prices and transfer the silver to them. So it needs to stay for them to combat that (same reason trading isn't a thing).

That said, there is definitely an issue with too many items. Soooo many high demand items need to have their prices adjusted. Things like weeds, logs, and rough stone are far more valuable than their set prices. I think if they let the system update these items more often, it wouldn't be such a bother. Why they don't is beyond me.

i mean i'm not saying we really need anything as extremem as people just choosing any price they want but some items are just selling for so far below their true value that they just never get sold and so they will never raise in price to a point where they reach a reasonable sell value, all it would take is raising the max sell price of some items that are like that.

if the economy is going to be restricted the way it is, it can't just be left like this it needs someone actively managing it so that there isn't holes in the market where people can't buy items they want

I tell you a seecret: players can move money though the market between accounts even with the current system.

and if i'm understanding how the ingame ecconomy works ingame, then it's not so much that the ecconomy is broken, but that inflation in the early days of the game rose material values so fast that some items couldn't keep up in value and the result was that crafting materials are more expensive than the items they make meaning there is demand for items that will never be crafted

and because they aren't crafted they aren't sold and so the materials will continue to become more and more valuble than the items

like the calpheon rowboat it'e price is frozen but the materials that are used to craft it increase in price making it impossible to ever see them sold

you know i really think that someone needs to come in and manage the prices manualy for a few months until the ecconomy satbilizes because there is just too many holes in it
