Valkyrie Rework: Dream Big!

For those who don't already know, PA is planning a rework of all the older classes. For example:

The relevant part starts at around 1:55

 

For better or worse, I think we can count on more changes beside simply: "Just add I frame on DLC". This isn't the average balancing where they maybe change damage numbers or adding a new protection, we are looking at substantial changes to playstyle and skill trees.

 

That said, what changes would you like to see to Valk?

 

Some changes I would like to see:

-More "active" defense in preawakening: Like, maybe rewarding blocking or using certain FG skills at the right time with extra damage or special effects or something (we have 3 skills with the name "counter" in them but none of them can really be used for "countering" people effectively). 

 

-More combo-ing in preawakening: Pretty much everything right now just ends in SoJ cancel. It would be cool if there were other ways to end combos, maybe even with special effects for certain extensions. Like if using ultimate severing after glaring slash would shoot out a sword wave, or if using Righteous change after stabing attacks like just counter immediately triggered the strong extra hit and made the bleed stronger.

 

-Actual I frames: Pretty simple, IMO all the shield chases should be I frame. 

 

-More support and defense in awakening: Maybe allow block to reduce damage by a percentage for allies that are close the valk, or add special effects on skills, for example a debuff immunity/cleanse effect or a damage relfection effect.

 

-More combat movement in awakening: What I mean is, removing stuff like the stagger on block and giving some of her so more non-collision skills; like maybe if you press -space- while activating terra or castigato they turn into skills that make valk charge through enemies with the hitbox being wider at the begining and narrower at the end.

- Protected swaps between awa and pre awa and the other way around. 

- Celestial spear shouldnt be so important that you couldnt even hurt a fly if you dont use it. just add some base crit chance. or do the one above. it would also fix alot of problems.

- Make any other skill besides buffs/heals useable in pre awa. unless you play succ the whole kit is one of the worst. and even for succ its laughable.

- Her so to say ''iframe'' should be an actual skill with maybe a 2s cd for iframe and sa on cd. in awa it should share the cd with awa A/D+Lmb
maybe make it move a bit more 

- Fix her bugs and gaps. 
   - sideways shieldchase out of awak. has only fg for a short time even tho it should be fg+sa. 
   - Hasti always had this weird gap at the start. even before they removed the fg from it. 
   - Sometimes youre unable to use skills in pre awa. no clue what causes it. i randomly get it i dont even have to pvp it just happens.
   - Rubberbanding on terrain. this used to be only a NW/Siege structure problem. now i have it everywhere. be it a tree a rock or whatever if im just abit to close it sometimes rubberbands me multiple times. making me waste tons of stamina or dlc cd's
   - Remove the hitstun from all shieldchases. 

- Nova and Guardian have pretty much indestructable blocks, i dont see why we shouldnt have that aswell. especially since we dont have tons of iframes like Guardian. or can run circles around a maehwa with 1/4 of the stamina cost. We even only have FG+SA as movement making our block take even more dmg and as a matter of fact. were the only class of the the 4 shield classes to stay true to the Shield and keep it in both stances
to not make 2 more classes have indestructable blocks. they should simply make it so the strength of the block scales up with the amount of enemies around you. i bet this has been suggested many times before. even tho this would make it way more balanced for all non grab classes. while also giving us the chance to survive blobfights without having to run out of the fight after 0.1s because the shield blew up. meanwhile novas and guardians stand there as if nothing hits them.

dont feel like we need a ton of iframes. but simply ways to move around more protected, it will automatically make you able to dodge grabs more reliably
and with an actual good block you can even wait out certain cd's which can help you survive. i cant tell how many times i could stall 10seconds on guardian for her S+F to come back up. just by iframing and blocking. which then made me survive the whole ordeal. 10s of blocking. just a dream for warrior or valk. we can be happy to survive 2 meteors from out of render distance. 

To the more fancy things id love to see or might be interesting.

- Make it so you can recast Enslar once afte the first use. to either jump on a different target again. or to jump back to your old location. (doesnt work for 100% would be hella busted) 

- Give our block 2 stances. the normal one where we can move. and another one that lets you stick the shield into the ground. you cannot be pushed anymore. blocks single target projectiles and makes the fg a slight bit wider. you can still go thought if you have no collision. so not like nova ice wall

- Give the homing pull back on the 2nd pull of WoL. it was just hilarious lets be real. and a pretty good tool to lock down people that try to run. 

- Breath of Elion but it can be used in 2 different ways. either the normal heal. or hp/s which heals a bit more but slower obviously.  or add that as a bonus to our e buff. 

- Let Puri heal you for a small percentage of the hp you healed your ally. 

I have tons more ideas but would be fun to see some actually happening. just like when they made it so that you can use Verdict Flow after Enslar. always wished that was a thing. and now we have it

Valk is perfect with its flaw, hope that we not going to get any rework.
