sorry there are still SO many questions I have.. please someone help me, since I dont want to brick my level 61 character..

I'm new to bdo and leveled my first character to 61 now. but I do want to swap because of 1.) getting a free 61 character; 2.) have another character to play with.

BUT it is REALLY important to me to understand if BOTH character will still be playable for me in good shape.

I do understand how it works generally, but nowhere can I find the answers I am looking for in detail..

-My season character has all tuvala tri gear and weapons.

-since I am new I have no other normal armor pieces yet.

so what exactly happens here with gear after I swap?

my assumption is that tuvala gear is only usable on season characters, so naturally with the help of these exchange coupons I should get 3 tuvala tri weapons for the new character and just equip the tuvala gear I had. so the new character should be fine right??

BUT what about the old character that is now non-season? what is the best way to keep gear on him? I think you can't use tuvala on non season right? it is also not duplicated I assume?

-what should I do to get my old (now) non-season character gear again that I can continue grinding with, with the around ~180 ap I have on him right now.. please help and explain.. because I want BOTH characters to still be playable!

my first assumption here is to just get the oasis gear for 1 silver? but that then makes me worried, since it says on the item it is only usable during the event(?) so will it get useless after a while? lets say I dont play for acouple of weeks and this events end, will my character be naked?

what other options are there?

are there important things I am missing? is there somethign mandatory I should definitly do before swapping?

Stay with your current character until you have at least all tet tuvala, preferably pen. You will get an item when you finish all the season challenges that will guarantee to pen one of your tet tuvala items, I am going to use mine on the awakening weapon when Corsair awakening drops.

but can I not still do this on my new season character??

also.. I bricked about 500 mil already and only got one piece to tet one time, which then also bricked later... so I dont think this upgrade system is so much for me... I think I just stick with all tri for now.. and mayyyybe get my weapon to tet to then upgrade with this stone to pen

The time piece copies over only XP and the ability to use the Season servers. Use it at level 61 to get another character to level 61.

Caveat, Only the corsair can complete the cosair quests/objectives.

thats the equivalent of if I would ask about a car and how it works, and you tell me it is red.. well yes I can see that, and I can read. 

But I am asking for completely diffrent mechanics of the game here, and features I may not know about.

Im wondering why you think it does anything thats not put in the description.

Havent used mine yet, but im pretty sure for the price of a free 61 char, im required to gear one of them myself through natural p2w means if i want anything decent quickly. Especially since thats Pearl Abyss bread an butter when it comes to turning a profit.

Try checking out one of the many confusing Youtube videos on the subject, cause the link to show you one is plain broken.

When you use the timepiece, you get 3 weapon exchange coupons, so that you can convert your season Tuvala weapons to the new character, so it gets to use your previous season character's gear. The previous season character will be left as a normal character with no gear. You have to grind or buy new equipment for it.

OK so here is the answer hopeffuly to all of your questions:

When you use the timepeace your current season character becomes normal character and his lvl and skill xp is copied onto a new character of your choice and turning that one into season character, you need to take all your gear of it before doing so and it will be naked after its done since all the gear remains season(you do recive 3 weapon exchange cupons for your tuvala weapons which you use to change your current tuvala weapons into correct ones for the new class you just turned into season char).

While both char are playable ofc, your old season one will be naked(as you figured out yourself you can ofc put oasis stuff plus quest accesories onto it for now), after you finish season and graduate from it you will turn your tuvala gear into non season version of it which means armor and accesories are usable on any of your characters(now about oasis event that even is here beacause of pandemic and will last at least until pandemic is over, if they dont decide to just keep it permanent since its been ingame for very long time already)
