I don't care about investment bank at all, but anything that bring a new decoration item to the game is good.
As it is, most players who ARE enthused by home decoration DESPISE mansions. We asked for multi-bedroom family homes, and got... what? A big ballroom?
No second floor.
Mansions are worse than a lot of homes already in the game.
The real slap in the face is that we can't use the new wooden bedroom furniture in our nicer homes so they put in all this effort into mansions for no reason. Completely missed the mark.
Whoever is in charge of decision-making for housing in Pearl Abyss is out of touch with the player base.
If they had released the new wooden bedroom furniture and opened up villas and guild houses as permanent homes we can decorate, most housing decor enthusiasts would have been overjoyed.
Instead we get this mansion - a complete waste of time and resources. I'm certainly not hyped for 3 big rooms on the ground floor. Boring.
Since the beginning of BDO, the only hardcore PAY TO WIN thing in the game was the housing system.
The housing system gives you the option to SWIPE YOUR CREDIT CARD and get the #1 rank house for that node.
When you get #1, you can bank silver and produce special items that are associated with that specific place.
This system is the only system that I 100% hate in BDO.
oh mansions.... I had wished they made a sims style, you design you own walls type of deal. of course its all a static preset, just fill in your own furniture. prolly have some high CP cost, and apparently you have to do a questline... to build some kinda story lore behind it? ooof. idk anyone in bdo that loves quests. curious to see if we get a stable master, or ability to plant farms...
Anyway, as for me, I only use houses for cooking utensils. lots of them. the mansions have no appeal to me sadly. the distance between bank/house/vendors is an issue too, restocking the utensils, can be done with maids sure. but if you went through say 50 tools in new mansion... its easier to just goto bank, grab 50 more and restock. this means mansions = longer run = more time wasted.
I was excited to see what they did.. the idea sounded interesting. but sadly. the questline... the cp cost... that fact its a static layout... how they far away from banks, npc who sell crafting materials... etc, etc... yeah Ill be skipping mansions completely :(

That brings up an interesting point. I bet players would pay to have cooking mat NPCs (like a chef) in their mansion.
A stablehand NPC that can pull horses from anywhere.
Pearl shop chests that would work just like the current rentable chests, but having one for each city/town. And each town has their own visual theme so you can tell them apart at a glance AND house decorators would have more options to decorate with.
Tbh there is a lot of convenience and $ making to be had in mansions. Including selling it to us permanently in the Pearl Shop.
I don't know why they are doing it the way they are.
